i love how every single fan behind the goal is just staring at the ball with their mouths open, no one with their hands in the air prematurely celebrating

I was right behind the goal and the moment it left his boot there was that electricity that we knew it was it . As it hit the net , turning to each other the mouth still open and the shaking of the head in disbelief.

Other than the joy of the opening day there it was Very likely my favourite moment in the new ground

Oh I don’t know. It looked to me like he did, but if he’s said that 1) surely it shouldn’t be in the nominees if it’s a fluke and 2) I’d agree with going for Osula given the quality, the time of the goal and winning 3 points with ten men

I might be wrong but could have sworn I saw it somewhere. If he did mean it then I agree with you that it should probably win. As you said, even attempting it was mad and then he executes it perfectly.
