Summer transfer window.

Would stay well clear of any of their top earners after seeing how spineless they've been this season.

You're right that spurs will be trying to hang on to their kids, but if we're doing any business with them it's Gray, Bergvall and Pape Sarr we should be asking about. I like Udogie but recurring hamstring injuries not good for a young fullback.
Don't rate that Sarr at all. Not sure why Gray is so rated either as the pair of them regularly get overrun in midfield

If we were hypothetically going to sign a Senegalese midfielder I would admittedly rather Lamine Camara or Habib Diarra. I don't think Sarr is a bad player though.

Gray I think is very good, and for a young player has a versatility and maturity to his game much like Harrison Armstrong.

Agree they've been getting overrun in midfield this season, though probably not a lot one or two players can do when the rest of the team are playing like they are. I've been watching all their games recently as I find the situation fascinating and Gray is the only one who's been rising to the occasion imo.

Camara is amazing but I have a feeling we'll overlook both him and André because they're a bit short and Moyes will want to add a bit of a unit in there. Just a hunch though.

What’s weird about it? He’s been on loan there all season.

The way the article is written is weird.

Multiple times yeah. Not been explicit about the profile but I think the implication is a proper number 6 DM physical enforcer type. Like an Onana style player. That's not gospel though, just reading between the lines. We definitely don't have an out and out 6 like that.

We also dont have a deep lying playmaker. Interesting you reference Onana as using the same style and tempo as we had vs Chelsea every game would be phenomenal.

Have to say though, Armstrong was there for Derby before moving to 8 with Preston. Why cant we use Armstrong as our 6? He's not super physical in terms of size but he's got a decent tackle on him and solid positioning.

I wanted Camara before his move, he'd be great in the premier league.

Gray I'd love us to sign, another I wanted before their move. He'd actually suit Moyes as well.

If @hetion is right and we want a different midfielder, it would be nice if we went and spent on a young English player destined to partner Armstrong in the future for Everton and England.

Yes such a shame really, though he did previously have the midget gems.

KDH
Garner
Gana
Alcaraz
Iroegbubam
Armstrong
Rohl

Theres 7 midfielders there and we know Moyes prefers to go with smaller squads.

Also, despite Gana being out of contract and 37 in september, Moyes uses him every game.

Who survives the summer?

KDH-Garner-Armstrong-Iroegbunam-Gana

With Alcaraz and Rohl moving on imo. What do you think?

If we get Europe I suspect only Alcaraz leaves. 6 for 3 spots sounds right for the amount of games we’d have.

sell the only 10 we have? kdh prefers to be an 8 too despite moyes playing him at 10

unless we already signing tyrique and grealish can move into the 10 spot.

then again, if we get Europe we would be attracting more quality players to fill key positions, exciting times

I think the Chelsea game apart weve been pretty slow through Grealish all season so if he signs we should sell alcaraz (who i like) because it doesnt suit him.

Dibling I could see as a 10 with the slower build up and Grealish left with Ndiaye right.

KDH should be with Garner central but, Moyes seems to be utterly blinkered when it comes to his best performances this season.

Well admittedly I don't watch them as much as you do so you'll know more than I do as I'm judging it on highlights and hearing and reading opinions about their midfield. To be fair and you are right it's hard to totally excel in a team that's broken so Gray seems to be keeping his standards if nothing else and yes their situation is hugely fascinating and its nice we're not the crisis club for a change!
