Summer transfer window.

If Spurs go down then the players we could bring in on the cheap look even more interesting, as with Forest.
I think I’ve said this before but if spurs do drop, I don’t think the fire sale will be what people are expecting.

Without a doubt a lot of their ‘big names’ would go: Van de Ven, Romero, Porro, Kulu, Kudus etc. they probably all have clauses anyway. None of those players would come to us, they all have their eyes on easy move to the elite clubs.

Spurs will be desperate to keep hold of their young players. Gray, Udogie, that young defender on loan in Germany, Tel. I just cannot see them leaving.

Spurs will lose money from the prem yes, but they’re not in financial shambles. Sales from the older players will surely keep them somewhat comfortable. I just personally don’t understand at all how people think they’ll suddenly sell Gray for £25m because of relegation (not saying I’ve seen that here, but that sentiment is pretty common elsewhere from what I’ve seen). They may look to flip players like Meilia…but wouldn’t the championship be the best place to just play those guys after the fire sale?

Bobble has said were looking for a different profile CM this summer?

Whats left as we cover a number of different profiles. Playmaker? Anchor?

Moyes was positive about George being direct and able to score goals before the Chelsea game. So its possible.

Grealish, George & Rohl for £60mil. To be the only one id go for is George if there was a blank slate.

Not paid any attention to either Bueno or Diouf at West Ham. Who are they similar to?

With Wolves I think Mane was meant to be a centre forward coming through but has mostly been used as a CM or ACM. I wonder if he'd make a good rotation option for KDH.

I very much like Joao Gomes. Think hes levels above Andre and can also sit.

Diouf is good going forward, top level crossing. Seen West Ham fans saying he's not so good at defending though.

Would definitely be asking Spurs about Archie Gray. Will have his pick of a lot of clubs of they go down, but Everton connection is there so maybe we could try to use that to our advantage.

Would stay well clear of any of their top earners after seeing how spineless they've been this season.

You're right that spurs will be trying to hang on to their kids, but if we're doing any business with them it's Gray, Bergvall and Pape Sarr we should be asking about. I like Udogie but recurring hamstring injuries not good for a young fullback.

Ahhh Bergvall and Sarr were the 2 I was forgetting. Knew I had when I was typing it out but couldn’t pluck their names out the ether. Same as the others, Spurs will fight to keep hold of all the younger guys, barring a huge bid, even despite relegation (in this hypothetical)

The kid in Germany Vuskovic wont be playing in the championship. They could probably get £50mil for him and he'd be pushing to leave.

Gray and others will have significant interest. Gray left his boyhood club where his relatives have made names for themselves because he wanted premier league football.

I think all of their players will be submitting transfer requests and while there may not be cut price sales, i dont think they'll hold onto any who want to go.

Gray i think they'd (rightly) ask £40-50mil for and I'd happily pay that. Vuskovic as well with others like Tel moving for not far off those figures.

I'd be after Archie Gray as well. Was saying we should go for him 6months or so before he left Leeds.

What Everton connection?

This is the point I’m making though. None of them are going to go on the cheap. £50m is not something we’re likely to drop on another 20 year old. Clubs like City, Bayern, PSG, United can all do that and most likely all if it happens. We won’t even be close.

Hahaha ffs I thought he was related to Andy Gray.

Just looked it up - entirely different Andy Gray.

Yeah that Gray family are Leeds heroes.

He's got 2 brothers at Leeds.

I would and I think thats what we should be doing through selling players to generate fees for these kind of signings....alongside signings who provide instant solutions.

Instead were doing £20mil on Rohl.

VDV, Porro and Romero will all be in Europe next season playing CL football, they’ve already sorted the deals, which is mad for the defence of a team going down..

Think we dont have a sitter like garner if he is out somebody who can protect the back 4 and help us keep the ball and take it off the cb. Will be alot of interest with spurs players so wont fo on the cheap. Have been impressed with bueno has looked good at wolves does play wb for them but does look like room to grow at lb. Same with gomes who would be a great move if we could get him would be my first choice if looking for a cm nect window

Multiple times yeah. Not been explicit about the profile but I think the implication is a proper number 6 DM physical enforcer type. Like an Onana style player. That's not gospel though, just reading between the lines. We definitely don't have an out and out 6 like that.
