2025/26 Jordan Pickford

The Chelsea save (and the one from the corner after that save btw) were just unbelievable and especially given the situation at the time they were vital. I've said many a time about the importance and sheer skill/ability to make that save was unreal.

Like @Saint Domingo says theres a great save away against Leicester in a vital win which is true. The one against Henderson although great, i'd have expected him to save.

This season, he's had 3 or 4 (most notable for me was the Zirkzee header away against the mancs), but today.......that's different gravy than all of the above.

Its simply stupendous...world class...very few keepers do that. Forget about was it important or not, was it to win a league, was it to stay out of bottom 3, was it to stay 8th etx l....its just world class and it was just a real privilege to witness it (from my TV lol)

He'll always be held accountable because our bar is set so high due to Southall. Southall won us trophies, Pickford won us top flight status

100% today we seen a save that will be spoken about for many many a year.

He's a goalkeeper who is massively under rated and who suffers from bias in favour of top 6 and a perception from his early career that he's prone to mistakes.

He rarely gets highlighted the way others do, is constantly undermined by focus on English goalkeepers at top 6 clubs (Pope, Henderson, Heaton, Trafford, Ramsdale) and there's a weird narrative that he's good for England but average for Everton.

I can only assume pundits and fans don't watch him play often because he's easily one of the best in the league and has been for a few years now.

Almost every time I bring up how good he is to fans of other clubs, they dismiss him, but after we beat them, and Pickford is responsible for a moment that wins us the game, the same fans will say things like "Pickford had his best game of the season against us" or "Pickford won't make another save like that this season".

No, he's like that every week. He's just class.

Can be hard to judge these things from clips but you can rely on the judgement of the pros themselves, the players on the pitch were dumbfounded, the ex pros watching immediately saw a wonder save and Pickford himself said it was his best, in a crowded field of great saves he’s made down the years.

Randos on twitter might say it was a good height etc but the people who know the game all concur it was world class. The strike itself was incredible and if it goes in I think it gets described by a lot of pundits as unstoppable….but JP stopped it.

Absolutely love this guy….

Cannot believe how lucky we are to have him!

Keep watching that save and simply one of if not the best save I have ever seen.

So hope he can win something with us or England…. He deserves it
There are taller keeps who dominate their box more but very very few pull off the ridiculous saves he does that have won us so many points over the years. He's a world class goalkeeper. Absolute no doubt about it.
