Same bunch of players to have failed for England before

Can people stop bloody saying this, please?

Of the 23 players going to 2012, only 8 played at 2010 (Johnson, Cole, Gerrard, Terry, Rooney, Defoe, Milner and Green), only 5 played at 2006 (Cole, Gerrard, Terry, Rooney and Downing), only 4 played at 2004 (Cole, Gerrard, Terry and Rooney) and only Ashley Cole went to 2002. The vast majority of the squad have no previous experience at a major tournament.

In fact we've changed more squad players since 2010 then both France and Italy who are widely considered to have completely revolutionized themselves since their disastrous 2010 world cups. Which is good, because we were awful at South Africa and we needed a new squad but people some curiously reluctant to admit that this is a different squad.

I happen to think this is the weakest squad we've taken to a major tournament in my lifetime but it's not the same one as we took to 2010 and every-time anyone makes a comment about this being the same bunch of players who have failed England so many times before I want to punch them in the nose.

If anything I think it's a squad too short on international experience.

It's not the squad so much as the first choice lineup, if you ask me. The core of the past England teams will be starting once again.

And injuries have ruled out Barry and Lampard, not the manager wanting a change. Those two are past stalwarts of perennial international failure.

Who would do a better job at CM for england, Henderson or Beckham?

Jordan Henderson, Stewart Downing, Andy Carroll.

John Terry, Theo Walcott, Danny Welbeck.

These 6 players are totally awful and I will not support a team that plays such gash players.

How come Henderson's going to a major tournament but Leon Osman's never been even spoken about as a contender for an England place?

That's a rhetorical question, by the way. We all know it's because of who they play for.

I agree with 4/6ths of that.

Name, names!!

I know im always harsh on Welbeck, hes not totally bad and sometimes he looks decent, but I cant get the image of him playing against us in the Semi a few Years ago out my head, its stuck there and for that reason I will never rate him.

So I assume hes 1, whos the other?

Three out of the four man defense from 2010 will probably start but the goalkeepers changed and the midfield and attack will be almost entirely different at least until Rooney's back, though as you say injuries have played a part in that.

Don't get me wrong I wish Hodgson would drop Terry and Gerrard too, but it annoys me how what change of personal he has done is being completely discounted.
