Great for international footy and defending lead, no ability to be a playmaker without minutes of time. Can't shoot to save himself.

He’s been an absolute workhorse for years, and I thank him for it but his legs have gone, which limits his already limited play. We have a decent stable of young, energetic CMs and we’re currently playing 3 CBs. Keeping him on the pitch is madness.

There again, playing him from the start was madness.
