2025/26 David Moyes

Just lovely.
I hope everyone else is not letting it wash over them that Dave's response to Everton winning is to subconsciously link Moyes to Nazism and Hitler.

The big lie is the name of a propaganda technique, originally coined by Adolf Hitler in Mein Kampf, who says “The great masses of the people… will more easily fall victim to a big lie than to a small one,”

Very normal behavior and response to us winning.

January 1st 2025 - 3 days removed from losing 2-0 at home to Forest, Dyche’s Everton sat 16th, 1 point above the drop zone and with only 3 wins on the board

December 30th 2025 - Moyes’ Everton beat Dyche’s Forest 2-0 at the City Ground to record their 8th win of the season to sit 8th, two points off a Europa League spot

But really no one could have done a better job

I don't really understand the animosity towards Moyes from some posters. He will always be a manager that likes to build from a solid defensive base which can come across as being overly cautious, but his teams can play decent football. We've gone from struggling against relegation in recent years to hopefully putting that behind us and are now looking upwards. I think he's done a decent job so far and am hoping we push on in the new year.

Looks better with this cup.

I don’t necessarily disagree but I don’t think that’s fair this season

This squad was relegation scrapping for three seasons and after one window (which could’ve been better) he’s got us fighting for Europe

Once he had time to build squads before he had us in Europe and getting some semi finals and a final so I would give him a bit longer to build personally
If he has us in Europe this season or wins the cup, then of course he stays on. But if he puts the reserves out against Sunlun, all bets are off...

Coleman long term and Grealish played tonight.

But yeah, that just underlines what I'm saying: it's an utter LIE to say we are short of numbers to win PL matches...and tonight underlined that.

Stop it Dave you're man was humbled by King David tonight. Have a good look at that bench if you can be bothered and admit it.
Stony, woany and Fony have been smashed twice in a month and you're still talking ...Baloney.

Oh as Roberto would say it's a phenomenal result and a phenomenal performance ( genuinely with that team it was ) and I am delighted with the position that we find ourselves in after years of decline but I just wish that Moyes would trust flair players a bit more.

I think that Dibling has shown enough in 2 games that he could be part of our exciting future. But I fear that as soon as we get a few players back he will be back on the bench.

Come on Davy live the dream.

Moyes = mediocre football and mediocre mid table finish.
That's exactly what we need for this season.
No relegation worries and a signing or 2 in Jan could cement a top 10 finish. That is progress.
Rome wasn't built in a day
