….given the chances they squandered we got out of jail with a point. Actually wondered if we might pinch it given how things were going.

I thought we looked ok for periods but never looked capable of delivering a killer pass in the top third with so much coming to a stop when Alcaraz had possession. I thought Iroegbunam looked the most likely to make something happen but he’s so casual in possession he can lose it and leave us vulnerable to a break.

Biggest plus for me was Dibling. He did fine in the first half, fell away a bit but then came back into the game late on. I was just chuffed to see him looking content. Although he did nothing particularly outstanding, I’m giving him my MoM.

Did they. Are the 8 actual starters or just mostly what they have missed a lot of the season as a lot always say teams are missing x amount and include players that have not played ages

Well, the point was made with regards to claim it was Burnley's strongest team. I knew they were missing Esteve - who, in my view, is comfortably their best player - I wanted us to sign him in the summer.

Upon then checking they have a few at AFCON too, like Lyle foster, tuanzebe and mejbri. Joe Worrall too and as I say, they have 8 from their squad missing today.

So no, it wasn't Burnley's strongest team.

Not really true that, their goalie made three excellent saves:

Beto
Alcaraz
Barry

They really did not have a single real chance, apart from the offside post strike in over time.
Their keeper made a few brilliant saves for sure, mate. I was thinking of the 1 on 1 with Pickford that was lifted high and the one off the woodworks. We shouldn’t have gotten ourselves so exposed like that.

The worst performance not reported on the media was RS scrape through against winless Wolves.
