2025/26 Merlin Rรถhl

I genuinely can't stand this obsession with a large grock chaos player Moyes has.

I couldn't be arsed with wasting a starting spot on Doucoure when we did it with him and I cba doing it with Rohl.

It's proper basic denominator footy of lash a big fella up top and see what comes of it.

Not really a fan of this either. You could perhaps say Conor Gallagher is a bit like that though and i'd love him to come in at 10.

Strong running, leadership and can score goals...makes things happen.

Rohl ive only really opposed him due to his injuries. Not a player id go for but have to give him a chance.

It's mad to me how many posters have pitched their flag in the "Rohl is a waste of space" and "Rohl is going to be a key player for us" camps. Based on his limited game time it seems utterly impossible to know how he's going to do for us. He's made five twenty minute cameos. That's it.

Thats the issue for me, his fitness.

Iโ€™m not sure having one central midfielder with a bit of physicality who you occasionally give a run out as a sub counts as an obsession does it?

Despite that fact that under Moyes (with Doucoure as a starter) we changed from a team in danger of being relegated to a team with top 6 form and one of the best away records in the league in a very short period? I don't see Rohl as a target man. He's a player who get around the pitch.

You leave the 6 million dollar man alone they are rebuilding him after his cameo .....
