2025/26 David Moyes

Not starting Dibling is going to have very little impact on the result. It will take an awful lot more for us to get something. But plenty will use the non selection of a 19 year old who has shown very little in his time here to sharpen the knives if we lose to the team who go top of the league with a win. It takes all sorts i guess .

I think it would play into the a rhetoric that will only be silenced by a win, not that I necessarily agree with the rhetoric
Just said in the match thread, look at their bench and tell me picking McNeil is the main issue with tonight's game. I'm not going to use the knife to a gunfight excuse, but I'd be stoked with a point.

I will be piling on him today for this.

I want to see Dibling start and show why we spent the largest part of our budget on him.
I can't see how this reflects anything but negatively on Moyes.

If he was behind the Dibling signing, why has he failed to bring him on to the point where he can start ahead of Dwight McNeil?

If he wasn't behind this signing, why was a significant portion of our budget spent on "potential"?

If the "competent professionals" were not fully aligned with the Moyesiah last summer, what makes anybody think there will be another summer with Moyes? Indeed, why should there be?

I genuinely can’t be head around people’s reaction to the Dibling thing. McNeil was our best attacking player for a couple of seasons and is a very experienced premier league player, capable of putting in a defensive shift. I don’t like him much but I can totally understand why he’d start against Arsenal instead of a 19 year old who’s looked terrified in his appearances so far.

Dont know whats worse the fact that hes started mcneil or the fact it was so predictable he did.

Koff Moyes and grow a pair.

Dibling has better pass completion, better Dribbles completed and better defensive stats then McNeil. As well as dibling haven played more minutes in the PL last season.

So there is zero reason i can see to play McNeil over dibling.

Only thing i can think of is for the deadball aspect but thats a stupid gameplan because of how good arsenal are at set pieces

Mcneill hasnt been good this season
But either has Dibling.
Its a marginal call but if we dont get a result here despite missing some crucial players some posters will blame the non selection of Dibling as the reason. It is just madness

I love moyes but feel proper let down by this.

Reckon it'll probably take the wind out of the crowd as well
