2025/26 Merlin Röhl

Nobody is getting mad at him pal, such a weird and bizarre position to take. Where is that happening?

People are criticizing the signing because signing players who constantly struggle for fitness for a small squad with our limited budget is bad business.

He needs to get fit and get playing and every match he misses is another strike against the decision to sign him.
You don't have to patronize me , I have witnessed people call him Gbamin and dele Alli when his record so far from that while being indignant that he's injured, I even said that its completely fair for someone to criticize the club's decision to move for a player with his injury history. Its like you've never been on this forum before as people always have a tendency to take things personally regarding players and especially if they've injured. Anyway I made innocuous comment you're entitled to disagree. So let's leave it at that

Games played . You said 15 was his most !

I think @Joey66 may have been better saying that Rohl has not played half a season worth of minutes in any top league.

Whether thats due to injuries or ability others can decide.

If a player is constantly injured and getting back to fitness with sub appearances or taken off frequently then that would point to them being an injury risk.

I said this before we signed him. So no knee jerking from me.

Obviously im sure everyone wants Merlin to be world class and fit every game but at the time of his signing this looked unlikely.

Currently it looks like a major error and a panic buy from Moyes.

Not much else to say.

What is supposed to do about it? Not get injured ever? have a conversation with his muscles? People on here did the same stuff with DCL I understand it's frustrating when a player is constantly injured , it's just wild to get mad at a player for it, obviously nothing wrong with making an observation that someone hasn't been fit but that's not what happens on here

Its not on the player. Its on the manager for signing him.

Havent seen anyone laying into the player?

Zat he played over 1800 minutes for Freiburg in 22/23 which included the Europa League. It's moot at this point if the scrutiny is focused on the recruitment, then I don't see an issue with the discourse. I still think it's too early to consider him a flop
