It seems like a typically pragmatic choice from Moyes.

Yes, he’s changing a winning team - but there’s certainly an argument to say that the circumstances warrant it.

Forest at home and Chelsea away are two entirely different prospects - and as others have said, Gana will be desperate to put in a strong performance to make up for the red.

Everton managers cling to him like a crutch but an Everton team in 2 years time doesn’t have him in it. Alcaraz Rohl KDH Iroegbunam Garner Armstrong are the future. We’re limiting their game time to play a guy in his mid 30s who isn’t going to be getting any better.

Best case scenario would be seeing Gueye leave in January; bring back Armstrong and see what a fit Rohl can do.

I just think the incident against United is not something that'll be overcome.
