2026 FIFA World Cup

The only way that ever changes is if no one turns up. From now on it will be a round robin of middle east oil rich countries or places they can charge astronomical prices. Either way fifa print money.
I've no sympathy for anyone turning up for this. It'd be like turning up for the 1936 Olympics, with added price gouging. Did people seriously expect reasonable prices from unreasonable people?

Those prices are absolutely disgusting. I hope the atmosphere inside the stadiums is completely dead. Having said that, I doubt Fifa would give a damn.

The sad thing is, we've been seeing a similar pattern in our own back yard for far too long. I hate the fact I've just paid £100 (including membership) to go to the Arsenal game next week. Unfortunately football seems to be too popular for any of us to do something about it.

They’ve said today that the prices are a reflection of demand for tickets. If they sell the majority of them, this will be the new norm as they’re not going to lower them in future.

The World Cup won’t be a flop either, it’s too big to be. The coverage won’t let it be, even the crap games will get hyped up beyond belief.

They can hype all they like. Anyone with any real concept of quality control will be rationing their viewing. I'll take a serious interest from the knockout stage - and mainly from the last 16. The rest is a glorified warm-up with minimal jeopardy.
