I honestly think that performance shows that very good players can win in spite of a terrible manager. As time goes on he’ll drag them to his level, of course, but for now he’ll dine out on whatever the players manage to salvage from his horrific footy and inability to defend set pieces.

I am. I think his basic style is similar enough to the one they thrived under pre-Ange, and he’s probably galvanised them to an extent with that victim mentality of his, but the longer he has with the squad the more the returns will diminish, just like they did with us.
