Too slow, too weak, too one footed. On the other hand, decent touch, decent striker of the ball, works hard. Not the worst, but, by no means top half of prem standard.

He played his best footy at the 10 while he was here but only played there for 10-13 games under Dyche. He is pretty much the boo boy like Keane and people are finding reasons to hate him. He is not nearly as bad as most make out and the majority of it is hyperbole. They hate him because of where he came from (Burnley).
Do I think Charly (and hopefully Harrison) will be better options? Yes. I think his lack of pace would hurt us on the counter. I think he has better vision than everyone apart from Jack and is a playmaker with a hell of a left foot. Physically he is just not on the level we need as the game is all about athleticism and endurance these days.

Absolute diamond of a bloke, just spent a few hours at the event in Alder Hey with my lads - he took the time to sit on the floor playing trucks with my youngest, genuinely down to earth decent lad.
Agreed Roy, and there’s no shame in being a mid table player / squad player for a top 6 team.
Worth having around the squad in my opinion.

He played 10 v Southampton in one of their only victories , and the 4-0 defeat at Utd and v 10 men Brentford at home, that we couldn’t break down. Saying he played his best football as a 10 is hyperbole mate.
He left relegation fodder Burnley, to join relegation fodder Everton for a poxy 12/13mil. Non of top teams were interested, even the clubs at that time who were ambitious and looking to challenge the European teams, Villa. Newcastle and Brighton.
He will join a smaller club than Everton when he leave’s. To go up the league and challenge, you leave the likes of McNeil, Doucoure, Beto, Myko, behind

Dwights's goals really helped us when we were at our lowest, Personally I always liked him, Yes he's slow, Yes he's one footed but without his efforts, We would of been down, pretty sure about that. The lad has been through the ringer on a personal level. We could do worse than keep him around the place as squad depth at least... Give him a break !!
….it is a sign of progression, build from the top down, bring in better than you have but as Moyes said, we still need squad players who can come in when required.
One of our best players not so long ago, looks like McNeil will be an important one for us in the next month or so.
