I think she's the best keeper in the league and wouldn't look out of place in any of the top sides.

That 2nd save in the first half was superb and I think she got a touch on that free kick at the end. Even when she makes a mistake, her attitude never wavers and you'd back her to save the next shot.

So important that shes back and fighting fit and she brings the best out of those in front of her.
 
Fernandez needs to stay at centre back from now on, Ishikawa can play right back again and Kitagawa should be first choice left back. Well done to Brian for putting them all in the right place. So pleased for them. Mace is so good that it’s almost like having a Branthwaite and a young Idrissa Gueye in the same body.

Nothing more than expected v the always usual Champions (They currently have a fight this season though). Unbeaten in the WSL Since May 2024. Unbeaten in WSL at home since Feb 2024. Scored in every WSL game with the chelsea boss there (31 games). 1st time her team and previous team had not scored since December 2022 in 67 games. Our 1st win there in 12 years. Our 1st clean sheet since the Derby win in May. It was always going to take one heck of an effort and with defending,luck and keeping like we saw yesterday - it was a very hard job very well done. I expected nothing but defeat probably like everyone before the game
 
To be fair, we deserved a bit of luck. Could have taken three points off both London and Man City at home. But yeah, I was thinking this was going to be another Man Utd. Early Hayashi goal followed by a second half thumping. So happy the girls proved us wrong.

I still dont know how Brosnan clawed the Fernandez clearance off the line. To my eyes it was like a camera trick as I thought it hit the post and then she clawed it away but she actually somehow turns her arm backwards in the blink of an eye to get it away.

I said exactly the same thing. It just looks so werd like a curved camera or something :lol: She said thats her best save of the match
