2025/26 James Tarkowski

Are you referring to the headbutt on Gallas?
Yep, it was obviously more serious and obviously more violent but it's in the send ball park. I forget on hear how completely unobjective most Everton fans are. Most didn't even think that horrendous follow through Tawks did in the derby was a red. If someone did what he did yesterday to one of our player we would be baying for blood.

Stupid. Just in case the VAR wants to get in the spotlight. Just because it wasn’t “reviewed” doesn’t mean they didn’t watch and re-watch it. Means they watched it and didn’t feel it worth notifying the ref to get his input and stopping the game.

We are always told it “evens out over the course of a season,” which it never ever ever feels like for Everton with crazy handballs, penalties for accidental toe stepping, 3 match bans for teammate handbags. So let’s just move on.

I remember the massive issues we had at CB before he signed,he settled all that down.

Solid, reliable and won't allow our players to be bullied on the pitch..he's our inforcer.

I love him,me.

Before him we were so short of that kind of character. We had no 'natural leader' in the team. Then we went out and signed two club captains in him and Coady. It was massive.

It feels like a lot of people really under estimate the work he does. He's always talking; to the ref, winding up players, putting team mates in their place (literally in the case of Keane).

Grealish does a similar job but we need to seriously think about who will replace him in that respect going forward.

Played well yesterday but his push on whoever it was (ndoye?) was just stupid and if var could make recommendations on yellow cards he would have got one which would have left him treading on egg shells the rest of the game.
