2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Positionally he’s hard to fit. He lacks consistency in the threat he offers in the final third (I know he has 3 goals, it’s going to drop off because he doesn’t shoot enough, he’s at essentially one shot per 90). As a deeper player he’s a bit of a fine but not actually good at anything type. He can pass some, he can carry the ball some, he can defend some, but he’s not going to be able to hang his hat on any. Sure in the right setup with the right support he’s a player who we can get solid play from. That’s about it.
He's no Iwobi, that's for sure.

What we should be looking at every game are two good central midfielders.

One who likes to play on the attack in KDH and another who prefers to sit a little deeper in Garner.

They complement each other as all rounders and add a solidity to the centre of the pitch.

The next step would be having either a top quality 6, to allow the two of them to have more freedom. Or to use a specialist 10 to increase the teams goal threat. Or of course to add another box to box player to add more energy.

Some on here were moaning about him being in the side over Alcaraz.

KDH is such a live wire plays with such energy. I like Alcaraz but he’s behind him in the pecking order.

KDH absolutely should be nowhere near the conversation of being in the 11 over Alcaraz.

Theres a simple reason for this as weve recently been finally allowed to see, KDH is a number 8. He's even come out twice to confirm this and hes putting in motm level performances as an 8.

There shouldnt even be a "pecking order" that has both of their names on it.

KDH is an 8 and Alcaraz is a 10, at a push a right sided 8 in a 3.
