I guess a 4-4-2 with Garner at RB, Alcaraz & KDH in midfield & Barry up front with Beto… he won’t start dibbling I don’t think, so putting Jack in at the 10 isn’t a realistic choice I don’t think. I don’t want to entertain the thought of McNeil starting.

Worried oyr CM will get overrun but if we sit back and counter it will nullify their greatest advantage (pace).
He won't be playing 442

Our legs are going to be very tired and they rotated a fair few last night due to the strength of their squad. Will have to dig really deep for a result here.
Spot on Mike they are going to have to go to the well again. I'm expecting a lacklustre draw as we fail to break down their Dyche low block defence.

Works both ways, this. Dyche may desperately want a win, but so will many of our players - and the manager. Yet, paradoxically, both of these managers might very well settle for the draw. That suits them more than us.

We need Barry to start proving his worth. We can't wait forever - and he needs to be told as much (which I'm sure he is). Howard Kendall told Adrian Heath that back in the day, saying he really rated him and believed in him, but he needed goals to continue picking him...and Heath rose to the challenge. We're not a charity or a YTS programme. Barry needs to step up now or needs to be farmed out. Those behind his signing need to be held accountable if it doesn't work out. Or they need their judgement vindicated. Only one man can do that. Now's the time, because a goal against Sean Dyche would be a very popular one for most.

I think he will bring Patterson in but go 3 at the back with Myko moving into LCB. Gives Patterson extra support and I don’t think we can risk midfield two of Alcaraz and KDH.

It’s also flexible enough to drop into a back 4 if it doesn’t work.

pickford
O’Brien Tarky Mykolenko
Patterson Garner KDH McNeil
Ndiaye Grealish
Barry
No chance Moyes changes formation, surely we know by now that he's never been one for that

We’re due a draw too so I feel like that’s a likely outcome. Dyche would also settle for it despite having the quality in his squad to take the game to us.
Yeah we haven't drawn for a while come to think of it. It's a strange one because normally I'd be thinking we're at home and above them so I'd be disappointed with a draw but as we saw with the Newcastle game we're not great with games in closeish proximity of one another so a draw wouldn't be the end of the world in them circumstances

This'll be a classic fight. Ex-big hitters. Ex-champs. Ex-managers. Let's get ready to ruuuuuuuuummmmmmmmbbbbllllllllle

I think that's right. To be fair Barry has had a good run in the team and whilst there has been some improvement from a low bar he doesn't look like scoring.
I suspect that Moyes will give him up until Christmas and if he's still firing blanks will beg the board to fund a replacement either on loan or permanently.
