2025/26 Thierno Barry

But Kroupi has 4 or 5 goals to his name. Same new country. Same new league. Argument is flawed. And I dont think its impatience to expect your strikers to score goals/get shots on target.
It's not impatient to want goals from a striker, but I think it is impatient to make definitive judgement off a handful of games.

People can say he's not doing it for me atm, but to say he will never make the grade is naive and more to do with people wanting to seem smart on the Internet.

And yes, Kroupi has scored more, is younger and will end up the superior player. Probably one of the top prospects in Europe atm. My point though is that if you watched that game last night without knowing anything about either player, Barry would be the one that would have left more of an impression.

It's almost as if they're different players on different paths.

I thought Moyes was pretty clear it would take time to get him up to speed. The player we should be most disappointed in is Beto who can't get into the side over the guy who can't get a shot on target.

Another good game from him, he’s great in the air and shows some really nice link play

The goal is coming and everyone is going to go berserk

I fully imagine he’ll get sent off in the process

He’s great in the air in terms of he can get on the end of a Pickford clearance with the top of his head. I haven’t seen him win a single header when under challenge from a cross, let alone get a decent header at goal.

There were three near post corners put in within about 2 mins last night, right where he was occupying space, and he didn’t get anywhere near them despite being about 6” taller than his markers.

Feel sorry for the lad because Beto is rubbish more expected of him
his touch shows he will be a player
a goal will change him keep getting behind him
Him bringing that one long ball diagonal down in the second half flawlessly, sticking to his foot, shows me there's a player in there. Decision making terrible, passing terrible, can't finish, all are true. But there's no way Beto brings that ball down.

While not as young in age, he's certainly young in his development.

Tough league, new country. We need to let this kid breathe
