I think the fans need some clarity with whats going on here.

If McNeil is repeatedly getting on ahead of you, something is very wrong.

there’s not a chance Moyes puts a young kid on when he wants to close the game out and has experienced plodders he can use instead. I don’t blame him either.

The problem for Dibling - under Moyes nine times out of ten the game is still in the balance with 15 minutes to play. Until Moyes trusts him, he’ll struggle to get on the pitch.

Should have been on for N’Diaye after about an hour today though.

I think I’m officially baffled now. Illy stunk the place out all game, and then even when Moyes decided to take the wrong player off, he replaced him with actual Dwight McNeil. Who was horrible. Again.

And if you want to hypothesise that he might be awful in training or have a crap attitude, fine, but Moyes literally said days ago that he wants to give this lad more minutes, directly before two games in which this lad was given no minutes. Dwight McNeil took his minutes. Dwight McNeil.

Thing is Ndiaye was poor in attack tonight but he was doing a fair bit of dirty work
The cameos I've seen Dibling in, even with fresh legs, he just doesn't seem to have that in him, and we need everyone putting a shift in defensively too

I had forgotten that, but yes. More in 5 mins than McNeil has done all season.

More of an issue when there really is not many options when Ndiaye goes to Afcon and you’d imagine he is going to get significant minutes. Surprised he hasn’t given him a little more opportunities / confidence.

I fully expect McNeill to start games ahead of him but he will be the main attacking option off the bench.

40 million we really could have used elsewhere. Bit baffled by the signing.
