2025/26 Charly Alcaraz

Something i don't get about us, and probably football fans in general.

Player barely plays and either comes on and has a good 30 mins, and he's the answer to all our problems, or has a bad game and he's not fit to lace Alex Nyarko's boots.

Need to see players play 5-10 games on the trot see how they develop, what they learn.

He grew into the game tonight after a shaky start. Good on him. I hope he starts a load and books his place in a full strength first 11. If he doesn't, at least we know after seeing him a load.

His attitude and willingness to try stuff is great but he messes up a lot of pretty simple passes which sort of makes you see why he doesn’t play more.

It might be because hes rusty having been in/out and used out of position frightned to make mistakes and thus is making mistakes.

Need him in the team for a few games on the bounce. Without him we can often not look like scoring.

He’s been like that since he came to be fair. We know his plus sides but he is a bit haphazard. That’s why he cost what he did at the end of the day and he could improve on it, but you can see why he’s not a fixture if everyone’s fit.

His 3 starts this season have all been away.
What i really like about him is most of the games he's actually started for us he's either assisted or scored. I'd rather concentrate on that than oh he gives the ball away. We've had enough players over the last few years who gave the ball away but never assisted or scored.
Play him. And play him through the middle and he'll more than likely score or lay it off for someone else to score.
What more do you want.
