Match Thread Bournemouth v Everton. Tue Dec 2. 7.30

Season he was with us and relegated, after a few games into the season he was talking about relegation. For all his good, Moyes's man management skills needs some work doing on it šŸ˜‚
He worked with Chairman Bill for too long in his first stint with us, was conditioned to talk the club down and suppress expectations, and he never changed.

The game yesterday was lost on moments, a combination of poor defending the worst possible start and they were clinical. If we take a step back it wasn’t like we were completely outplayed we didn’t take our chances a bit like the Tottenham game in that regard. Rewind back 5 days we played a great game and I think if we can get back to that discipline and playing football we can get something from the next 2 games. Moyes has a knack of bouncing back in these situations.

Moments defensively - yes.
Attacking - we are seriously limited and very predictable in how we attack.

Attacking wise Barry is improving but not quite ready. But I think the 3 lads behind are capable. Livramento and Hall did a good job on Ndiaye and Grealish yesterday. They also provide a better outlet than our fullbacks so I partly agree with your statement we are limited attacking from the fullback positions helping our midfield but I wouldn’t say we are completely devoid in that area. We was 12 months ago but not now.

We fell apart yesterday and Bournemouth will see this but they're not exactly doing much better and they'll also have players missing. I expect us to turn up and put in a display even more so because of last night.

Those comments from Moyes though. It's very poor.

I’d be tempted to sit deeper and play on the counter, probably with Beto (who does link well with Alcaraz) rather than try to create chances from slow build up play and leave our slow defenders exposed on the half way line.
