Waiting List

Seems reasonable to me. But I do get the point about alot of games getting shifted about for TV. I mean weekday KOs are a pain for me and I would likely miss alot of those ones.
But I think that if you get a ST along with the respective discount per match that comes with it, there should be some sort of commitment to going each week.
I guess putting restrictions on it drives a black market so it's a hard one to contend with.
Me and my Dad have season tickets but we share them with his best mate and his son as we don’t live in Liverpool. Putting a limit on how many times you can transfer the tickets would end that which I don’t think is fair.

If people are getting a season ticket and trying to make money out of it then that is a very different situation and the club should do everything to stop it.

I think if you are sharing with your freind and family network that's great! I just don't understand the situation where someone has a ST and it gets bunged on the resale website each game. Seems like that particular ST should find a better home.

As for folk making money out of them, I'm sure there are people doing it and the powers that be have been trying to stop the black market for ever and a day unsuccessfully.

I suspect that with the suggestion for restrictions on the amount of resale you can do would likely lead to more people entering the black market.

I guess if you wanted to restrict it you could have a system where you can only resell or transfer to new person a set amount of times a season.

It’s a tough one though. We’re in Club View so can only transfer to people in our “network”. Luckily we’ve been able to take the seats for every game between us. The only reason I would like access to the resale is that I wouldn’t want the seats to be empty which at some point might be an issue if none of us can make it.

Think your original post of a minimum of 50% attendance should be easily achievable for the people who consider themselves fans and match goers. If the club introduces limits to the amount of times you can resale of transfer to friends/family that would be a start. That would just leave the hardcore who have a burner phone. Okay that might be worth doing if you have say 4 people in a family who pass it between them and I don't particularly think that's bad they share the cost in that way. We want to stop the people who are just profiteering/ensuring they go to the derby for a cheap ticket price type situation. Hopefully it puts off people who have to give a phone away that might not see it again.

In the end we can't be too many years away from facial recognition and tougher attendance targets anyway.

Just seen the update, and my youngest is 1001-1500... hopefully he can join us in the next couple of years then!

If (and it's a big IF) the club keep the same percentage of ST holders next season I could see you getting that. I've heard a lot of people say they are going to jack it in. Once you add in the price rises which are bound to come our way and the people that were just hanging on to see the last at Goodison and the first at BM, 2.5k to 5k on the waiting list must be in with a shout.

I hope you’re right. I got a season ticket for this season but my lad missed out. He’s in the 1501 to 2000 band so doesn’t expect to be offered one for 2 or 3 years.

I wonder if the likes of Seat Unique will reduce their allocation next season?. They seem to struggle to sell them all. Dozens of tickets starting at £110 still on sale for tomorrow. With resales also available no way the hospitality seats will sell.

I hope so....

Yes, I can imagine some may give it up after the first season.

It's just the a case of how we go about getting the 4 tickets together... expect we will have to renew our 3, but then if no space either side and have to find other places to get 4 together how can we go about this.

Knowing Everton they won't make it easy for us.

3% ST churn rate would be nearly 1200 seats, I would think that could easily be 10% after the first couple of years. Like I say it does depend if TFG decide to not to chase the single game customer for maximum revenue and I suppose also depends how well we do over the next few years. Have a bad end to this season and it probably pushes a lot of people over the edge.

Like you say even when you do get that ticket it will be difficult given you want 4 in a row. Hopefully you get lucky and someone moves beside you, likely you would have to go higher or to the North stand where things are a bit less busy.
