PL clubs expected to move for Gallagher in January if Atletico open door to exit

Premier League clubs are expected to queue-up for Conor Gallagher in January if Atletico Madrid open the door to a move.

The England midfielder said last week that, although he is “happy” in Madrid, he is “not satisfied” with his lack of minutes on the field this season.

A number of Premier League teams made inquiries about him towards the end of the summer window, but Atletico had no interest then in letting him go, especially on loan.

It is understood Atletico still have little desire to loan him out this January either, even though Gallagher would like to play more in a late gambit for an England World Cup place.

Good player, but he doesnt start in the current team as long as KDH, Grealish and Ndiaye stay fit, good option from the bench though

Only issue with people like Wilson is he’s 100% getting injured playing for us. Any signing we make I want a bleached clean injury record.

I imagine it depends on our Nov/Dec goes in the league. If it’s looking good they may be willing to spend a little

Good player and I’d take him as Gana replacement

Gallagher , Jimmy and hall as a midfield 3 with Jack and Illman out wide is a decent footballing midfield

Get the full backs sorted in the summer and get another striker in and all of a sudden we looks like a quality first 11

You play KDH (left) with Garner (right) and then drop in Gallagher and you have a top notch central midfield.

Rate Gallagher, feels like an Everton player too, but I'd be shocked if we spent budget on a high-energy 8 with a slightly limited passing game. We literally have four of those already with no number 6

I actually thought he had a bit about him last night, strong, decent touch, good positioning. Definitely room for improvement bit I could see something there to work with. A bit too similar to Barry in terms development but I wouldn't be totally against it.

That midfield doesnt get bullied and gets the ball up the pitch. Also has goals in it.

It would be our best midfield in so so so long.
