2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Just night and day when he’s playing deeper in a three as he has been v Fulham and United.

It works better for Garner as well as he can play the sole 6 in front of the back 4 which he grew up playing.

This needs to be the end of 4231. We don’t have two holding midfielders who can play the double pivot and we don’t have a number 10.

Exactly, he looks so much better when he is played deeper, 4-3-2-1 is the way for us. He has been excellent in our last two games.

We’d have won 2-0 if it wasn’t for KDH and with Alcaraz starting eh @Zatara @TheBigIguana ?

I didnt see the game last night as it was 4am kickoff for me, but ive just watched it in full now.

Did you watch the match?

I said in 2023 we should sign KDH to play to the left of Garner. Because hes a quality CM.

Where has Moyes played him this season, 10 and he has been ineffective. Id have sold him in Jan if he was going to be used at 10.

Now hes played 2 games in his correct LCM position ive been proven right.

Posters saying hes been "great all season" are absolute whoppers. Hes had 2 phenomenal games as a LCM.

Best position and then we can play Charly at 10. Best thing ever what happened with Gana tonight, we need to move on from players that can't pass the ball.

Made no sense to use him as a 10. Good that weve finally had him in his real position now for 2 games.

Will Moyes keep him in his correct position now?

Playing in his proper position now and is excellent. Get another player next to him as the right hand 8 and we’ll have 4 players behind the striker who can all create and score.

Has to be KDH & Garner in the middle.

The balance is just right and it should have been this way all season.

Beyond that, the only question is whether we use a 10 or a 6.

Your football knowledge… or lack of should I say.. is actually astounding. I’ve never seen somebody so confident in their beliefs be wrong so many times. I’d lay money on the fact you’ve never even kicked a ball.

2023 - I said to sign KDH and play him next to Garner
2025 - I said he should play LCM next to Garner
2025 - 2 games KDH is next to Garner and motm in both

Plenty of posters said exactly what you've written above.

Plenty of posters have raved about him as a 10. Because they dont want to lose face, when hes been ineffective.

Two games now he's played LCM and been MOTM in both games.

I'd confidently say that you look like a bit of a clown.

You've even asked someone (who claimed KDH played as a 10 the last 2 games) if they can "spot a players talent within 10mins".

They cant even see what position the man played LOL

You, asking people like that for their insights is comical.

Get back in your box and be thankful that Moyes is now using KDH correctly.

Come on guys can't we all just be friends after winning a game like that!?

Sadly there are several obnoxious toads who prefer to look a bit silly.

For what it's worth I much prefer Dewsbury-Hall as a regular box to box centre mid not as a #10.

Imagine if Moyes had used him there all season. We look like a totally different team with him deeper.

Theres another poster who constantly mocks other posters for asking about formations and where players should be used. That poster says "just play them" and "let them play".

The last 2 games show exactly why using players in certain positions is important individually and for the team.

KDH was an absolute warrior these 2 games ;)

Not really sure what you’re on about Zat. The system is not particularly different. He’s still the main man behind the striker (with 11 men). His position he takes up is largely in that left channel because that’s where he’s functional. If you want to nominally call it left center mid that’s fine but to me it’s largely the same as it has been. When we went down to 10 it changed clearly. If he can occupy that space and hammer in goals on his weak peg none of this ultimately matters.

He's clearly been used deeper in the last 2 games and been motm in both.

Previously he was the advanced midfielder and ineffective in comparison.

He is not an advanced midfielder / 10 in any shape or form.
