Players out on loan 2025/26

Francis Okoronkwo was finally given another league start for Lincoln after his midweek goalscoring outing in the EFL Trophy. He rewarded his manager's faith with a first half goal and was taken off in the 68th minute with his side still 1-0 up. Opponents Doncaster promptly equalised but Lincoln ran out 2-1 winners. Lincoln go 2nd, just behind the leaders, Tyler Onyango's Stockport, who didn't play this weekend due to international call ups.

Martin Sherif got another start for Rotherham away at Luton. He was withdrawn at the break with the game scoreless. The change proved ineffective as Rotherham didn't muster a single shot in the 2nd period and the game finished 0-0. Rotherham are 11th.

Another goal and 90 minutes for Isaac Heath in League Two. Accrington beat Bristol Rovers 3-1 at home and go up to 18th. That's 2 goals and 3 assists in 11 league games, I think now for Isaac.

Decent return from Heath that

Couple of games and a bit of news in non league yesterday.

Odin Samuels-Smith has extended his loan at Marine for another month. He then played the 90 as Marine beat Stocksbridge Park Steels 2-0 in the FA Trophy. Another nomination for man of the match too.

Barnsley is still away on international duty.

Another 90 for Gospel-Eze but a home loss to Glossop North End. Goody was almost the hero at the end but it wasn't to be. Their twitter person still calling him Goodwin sadly.

Samuels Smith agreement is rolling to end of the season.
Trains with Marine on Tuesdays and Thursday.

He has been very impressive.

Who are you dropping so he can get up to speed in the first team?
What effect will the inevitable poor early performances have on the lad as he gets up to speed and learns?
Anyone in our midfield apart from Garner - oh he has to play right back .....My older brother has told me that DM told Tim he can look for another team in January as he is not in his plans ?
I thought he did well last time out - probably too young - too far off 30 years old ..... :D

….this paranoia you have with age continues. Young footballers aren’t better than older footballers, just like older footballers aren’t better than younger footballers, it’s just that some footballers are better than others at specific points in time. Young footballers aren’t necessary faster than older footballers, humans are just different athletes.

Garner 24 and KDH aged 27 have been the regular CM axis with Gueye. Iroegbunam is 22, Merlin Rohl is only 23, have played supporting roles. Take Gueye out of the equation and surely Moyes is selecting amongst the youngest group of CMs in the league.

The decision to send Armstrong on loan is being widely accepted as a shrewd development strategy given the game time he’s getting in a competitive league.

It seems like your brother is employed by the club and works closely with Moyes if he is getting first hand information on January transfers, we might finally have a genuine ITK, hopefully he tells you more that you can share.

Didn’t your older brother recently receive a telegram from the King Joey ?

From the Lancashire Evening Post:

Armstrong went away with England Under-19s once again but only played 17 minutes as a substitute in their first game, last Wednesday. The Everton loan man was then not involved at all in the following two matches.

On that, Heckingbottom said: “Yeah, well there were three games on Astro Turf. We spoke with them a lot and England are the same as us... they, and Everton probably, if it was big football, tournament football for them, then it's different. But they know he's developing and the priority for him, and everyone involved in Harrison's development, is him playing week in, week out in the Championship.

“17 minutes or something like that - I'd have rather him played none and not gone! You can see how much effort he puts into our games and again, another one physically who's capable of huge numbers. I think he will have Premier League athleticism but he's an 18-year-old now - everyone's got to be careful with him.”

(Sounds like sensible handling of a young player from all parties).
