I did the new stadium tour today. It was decent. The changing rooms etc are top class, night and day difference to goodison

We did it about a month ago. They said that things are changing every week, mainly painting over the grey walls. Be interesting to see when its complete

They tend to make clubs add extra press/table seating for tournaments/UEFA finals like this:

Hopefully HD has more than most to start with to limit the seat reductions.

On the official Euro2028 site it states the capacity will be 50,000 (reduction from our current max capacity presumably because of UEFA advertising boards and whatnot). I'm certain that article is chatting bubbles.

I think the expansion will be to do with safe standing regs. No way they’re gonna start a building project and have it ready for 2028. It’d need planning permission and all sorts, that isn’t happening with less than 3 years to go.

The planning approval may already have permission for a 60k+ stadium with the club fitting it out to its current capacity.

Someone needs to read the approval down to its small print.
