News of Ex Players

I find it quite sad that such a great servant to club, who contributed to some of our biggest achievements, earned less than someone like Per Koldrup or Danjuma did - even allowing for inflation.

….it’s the same for everybody of that era, sadly some very rich modern players are not good enough to lace their boots. It’s a great time to be an average top flight footballer.

….but not whilst he’s being paid £60k per week.
That's down to clubs that are stupid enough to keep giving him money though, utter madness it is. I have no doubt he is probably set up for life just from his Chelsea contract. He could easily switch into coaching or something else, similar to Nagelsman, his career was over before it even got properly started.

Hasn’t he literally just signed a 5 year deal ? The sentiments you express are lovely and probably extremely reasonable in theory but why on earth would he walk away from over £15m his employer are contractually obliged to pay him ?

He should never have been offered it in the first place though. My background is Sports Science and its guys like him who end up in their mid 40's with a walking stick because their legs are literally hanging together by a thread. He won't give it up you are correct but calling Armando Broja a footballer is an utter joke tbh, he is anything but and hasn't been for a long while.

You’re clearly more knowledgeable than me and I take your point on being offered the contract but he was offered it , he’d have to be certifiable to walk away from £15m though surely ?

That's pretty insulting considering the rehab he is putting himself through, given your background I would have thought you'd have a level of respect for that.
