There's something seriously warped about this. A no mark local legal outfit having the power to restrict the projection of our stadium to their logo...which necessitates our stadium to be backgrounded by a sewage works and a dogs's breakfast of industrial units and old warehouses along the dock road...which could be anywhere rather than the world class riverfront we were told it would be presented alongside.

This has got to be seriously looked at well before the Euros.

Why hasn't the sponsors stupid 'kin name been put on the North Stand in some material that doesn't obscure light flow through to the neighbouring UU facility (and why on earth they need to be bothered about that I dont know. I've never even seen human activity at that site since going down there).

It's outrageous the way we're having to hide this light under bushel - an extra £3M p.a. revenue doesn't persuade me it's a good idea.

I love how you’ve been upset by a sense of perspective.

You also see away dressing room, media centre, get into the dugout area, viewing gallery looking out toward town and the Mersey and get the tour around the area the players come in / go out pre/post game to talk to the media.

One thing mentioned on the tour was that the stadium is shifting millimetres and that will require attention by structural engineers over time.
I watched a documentary on the building of the stadium, can’t remember the exact figures but they knew it would move slightly, 10mm over a lot of years, again can’t remember the years, but nothing to worry about at all.
It was factored in to the build.

Yeah, it's not an issue structurally speaking.

Just pointing out to others that this is part of the tour.

Every Evertonian should be upset that their £800M stadium is controlled by a local no mark outfit who pay £3M p.a. to the club to get exclusive coverage at the expense of the club.
My daughter follows football in a TikTok-Snapchat style, and saw jack grealish had joined us, so started following us a bit more closely (he’s massive with young teen girls, of course…)

Imagine her surprise when she sees that a global airline shares its name with his parent stadium. I know exactly what your response to this is going to be. My point is you forget (ignore?) how important branding is for a club, as we agreed we aren’t fans, we are customers.

Not saying I necessarily want these bands but based on acts who are big enough to play stadiums, haven’t announced tours and some that haven’t toured for a while, I reckon U2, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Green Day, Kings of Leon, and maybe Pearl Jam (if they don’t announce any other gigs in the UK) could all be decent possibilities.

Edit: Maybe Drake as he’s sponsored or works closely with Stake. I know their deal is ending but it could have been agreed previously.

£3M each year to have your £800M stadium that could be backgrounded by the River Mersey and the Liverpool city skyline but is instead placed alongside a sewerage works next door doesn't make sense in any way shape or form.

Please tell me how it does.

Generally they need to be on the circuit to do these shows.

I don’t believe any of the above are confirmed for anything in the UK this summer.

Whereas Foo Fighters, Bon Jovi, Linkin Park, Gun n Roses, Kasabian, Capaldi, The Cure, Ashcroft, Oasis, Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, Florence etc are confirmed.

Must admit it cheeses me of a tad when walking down the dock road and the first thing you’re eyes are met with is the massive hill Dickinson stadium logo. At least the away fans won’t get lost because you can’t miss it.
