The other lot waiting to replace him with Salah .......
The only thing you have going for you with McNeil is that his goal involvement is remarkably high given his limitations. You could make a decent argument that he'll chip in a few goals with that left foot and enough booming corners that it would make enough of a difference for a lower Premier League club to take a punt.I agree with almost everything, but I can't see any way whatsoever than a club looks at McNeil with £20 million and doesn't think there's far better out there.
And then release him on match daysGet him tied down.

Yep, you watch how hard they try and sell him somewhere else after AFCON.I've noticed that commentators keep saying, 'Everton turned down a bid from Inter in the summer - they value him at £70m' at some point during every game lately.
I think we have to assume he and JG won't be here next season (worse case) and we should be finding ready made suitable replacements now for Jan or summer, otherwise we're gonna be caught short as usual. Best case we show some ambition and professionalism and we keep them here to build a team around
Doesn't mean a) an offer wont come in, or b) he sees his talent higher than the status of the club or wants to play CL or something. Im not saying we sell him, but I think it's prudent we have a few targets ready to go just in case rather than scrabbling around as usualMate, why should we be making such an assumption when he is contracted until 2029?
