New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Must be the same cycle lane curb that a few have fallen on, usually happens on way out tbh where you can't even see your feet let alone the rd.
Im guessing the safety certificate didn't go as far as outside the walls, but sooner or later someone will take it further

….i’m guessing inside the wall is the club’s responsibility and outside the wall is city council. Hopefully the council is aware.

Definitely a matter of time before someone breaks their ankle on that cycle lane curb. What doesn't help is the lane and the road tarmac are the same colour, so people dont realise that it's not all on the same level and there's a drop.

Expect a little delay, concerts are planned out way in advance now if you haven't noticed...like WAY out.
I get that but with the club knowing when the stadium would be ready surely they made a pitch to the artists
Yep, Foo Fighters going to the pit unfortunately View attachment 332309
It's a shame im a massive Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl fan so would of loved them to have been one of the first to perform at Hill Dickinson.

I was sat by an old guy against Spurs. Just before kick off I noticed he was holding a bloody tissue. When I looked at him he had a big gash on the side of his head. I of course said to him ‘are you ok?’ He said he was and that he had fallen over outside on the way in. Poor guy sat there for the whole game. I did consider going to tell an paramedic at half time he needed some attention but he told me a few times he was ok and it has been glued, but still yeah I wonder how many trips and falls have been reported so far.
My Dad fell over first game coming out, broke his shoulder, hasn't been back yet.

His issue wasn't lighting, it was the cycle path. Obviously it's been raised up right along the front of the stadium, but further down near the Titanic it hasn't and he fell over crossing there. They should raise the whole thing up to the same level for much further than they have done. It's a trip hazard in a crowd of people and will be even more so in the dark.

Yeah, we were saying that yesterday as well.

I thought the atmosphere yesterday was a proper normal Goodison atmosphere. The team started well and the crowd responded. The disallowed goals got the crowd a bit narky. Went a bit quiet second half, when Fulham had a 15 minute spell. Then the crowd got back into it, as the team did.

The regulars around me are starting to chat to each other.

It’ll take time, but is starting to settle into Home.
Yes, the atmosphere was much improved. And that really seemed to give the players impetus.
