Relegation Thread 25-26

….other than Wolves, it’s a difficult to one to read.

10 games tends to be a first benchmark of the season but a couple of wins or defeats makes a bit difference as it stands.

I do think Forest and West Ham will climb, whilst Leeds and Burnley hopefully fall away. Two wins before Christmas will hopefully gets us over that 20 point mark.
Those no chance we'll be in a relegation fight.

See it the other way has been a better week because of the result creates a bigger gap. To what we had from leeds fulham ect but is ankther tough 5 fixtures united a, newcastle h, bournemouth a , forest h, chelasea a.
Yeah but if you don’t include the actual points, it looks worse mate. If you include the points and see we are 3 points off 5th, it looks allright to me

The big feller is a threat, and Gordon will no doubt be a handful if he plays.

Tarks and Keane will be fine against Woltemede I reckon. He's scored a few but he's no Isak to put it mildly.

More concerned if Wissa was playing for them but he'll probably be tenatively easing back in with all the games he's missed. That's the sort of attacker they're missing away currently.

Joelinton also went off injured first half so he might not be around.

Can't really see too much from the away games coming up after the break so it is a must to keep picking up draws and wins at BMD.

Newcastle are one of those teams that can click and go on a run.

But the fact they'll have played in the CL away 4 days earlier should hand us a big advantage.

Howe is a very good manager but he really struggles with rotating and being competitive in prem with european games.

They have some decent squad options with likes of Jacob Ramsey but he just prefers to keep faith with the 11 who have served him well over the last few years. Can see Ramsdale getting a run of games after the break.

Lewis Hall another who was getting hyped but barely played this year although he'll come in now with the Burn red card.

To me it is similar to two years back. Cruised to a 3-0 win at Goodison with Doucoure running through their midfield at the end of that one when they were out on their feet from CL and lots of injuries.

Newcastle is a very winnable home game this year, they are dismal on the road.

Yesterday was a big three points.
Our next few games are being held up as really tough - but we are playing the worst Manchester United side in modern history, managed by a supply teacher, a Newcastle side that sit three points below us, and a Bournemouth team that just got humped. You'd like to think there are points there for us in all three games. Then we play Forest - hardly a team to be feared.

I don't think we are any great shakes, but yesterday put to bed any notion we were going down, as far as I'm concerned. We should be getting at least five points from the next four games. By then, I suspect Wolves, Leeds, and Burnley will start to lose touch with the peloton.

Man. United have won 4/5 at Old Trafford so they are making that a very difficult venue again. Cunha and Mbuemo on both sides going to be difficult to handle. Could've done with that fixture over Xmas when they lose regulars to AFCON.

Then after it is Bournemouth and Chelsea away, dismal records at both in last decade.

This is why there can't really be a prolonged lapse at home currently and I'd prefer to be beating likes of Newcastle and Forest rather than getting plucky 1-1s.

No reason either game can't be won in the manner of yesterday which was reasonably comfortable.

We really have to stop fearing expensively-assembled crap teams. United are demonstrably rubbish. A draw should not be beyond us. Certainly, if we go there and have a go, we have a chance. Newcastle are struggling. Forest are struggling. Bournemouth, right now, are struggling. We're not likely to win all four, but I don't see why we should lose all four either. There are points available in each of these games for us. Let's attack them and see where we are in December.

Think forest will pull away from it , West Ham lose Bowen and they could end up in the mix.
