Was surprised to see Walcott on MOTD, Micah Richards must have dropped out.
All these pundits like to speak in simple sound bites and pidgeon hole clubs as being one thing.
I would say the bare minimum that any football fans want to see are energy and passion. I dont think our fans are any different really.
They all do it, remember rio ferdinand stuttering his way thru the wat do evetun fans wantz brav nonsense.
We want to watch half decent footy, a team that goes for it.

Everton for the lazy arsed pundits - including those who played for Everton - will reach for two things:
- the stadiums we played/play in as being (Goodison) 'intimidating' and (H*** D********) 'fantastic fortress on the banks of the Mersey'
- the fans only want 100% commitment on the pitch
Carragher and Redknapp use it as a cudgel to beat Everton with; Walcott fell into line repeating such belittling terms of reference.

It's encouraged by the media who employ them. I'm pretty sure when they cover us for a live game the pundits are all handed stock phrases to reach for and are prepped in that way.
Anyway, it's up to us to shove those comments down their throats.

As said, Carragher and Redknapp KNOW what they're doing. They enjoy saying it.
Others are just dozy and lazy and repeat that stuff to make themselves look 'clued up' about the team they're covering for that day.
When Martinez was here and we were playing possession football more than most others it was framed as 'over-playing'.
We cant win. Not when the whole cess-pit football media is controlled by lazy know nothing clowns and/or Kopites.
Only winning stuff will end it.
