James Smith didnt join until after the summer window closed.

I dont think a single senior player joins Everton without Moyes' approval.

Chuckling at the idea of Nick Hammond signing players for a passive David Moyes.
Ive never bought into the narrative that some claim, that Moyes wasn't involved in the transfer process to a certain degree, he's too much of a control freak to come back here and relinquish that influence over the squad. It would be very unlike Moyes especially after the power struggles he had at West Ham

Its an odd take. I mean, imagine Moyes as a passive wallflower

Moyes banned this fella from their training ground;

Steidten will be responsible for the Club's overarching player recruitment strategy and scouting department, working closely with Manager David Moyes and Sporting Director Mark Noble.

But the decision to restrict Steidten’s access to the first-team dressing room at the London Stadium and the training ground has caused surprise within the club. The move was not made by the board and is understood to have been instigated by Moyes.

Obviously Moyes is central to all senior team recruitment.

I honestly hadn't realised we were already this far gone with unhappiness at the manager

In my opinion, no. Moyes was a big factor in us getting Grealish, our performances have been fairly solid and I do believe this is just a rough patch. This isn't a Lampard situation where he was as shot of confidence as the players and had no clear playing style across each game. But I am fully aware a bad run of two or three more games puts us in the bottom three.

Are you asking us to view the big picture? FFS, the telly tells me what to think and feel.

Probably those clubs mate.

Spurs have said that they will probably be sacking Frank in the summer, and will probably be replacing him with Glasner? And Manchester City have said that they are probably going to part ways with Pep Guardiola, to then probably replace him with Iraola?

I’d say this is probably improbable, tbh.

If we’d have had these fan forums in the days of Kendall’s struggles, we’d have had no trophies. Get behind who we have, it will get better. Do you really think that Moyes can build a team and challenge for the top for straight away? Time is a great healer. I’m confident a mid table position at the end of the season is within our capabilities. E V E R T O N, were Everton , and we’ll be Everton forever
What we had then was a load of stayaway "fans" and the just over 16,000 who turned up were being handed leaflets demanding Kendall went and holding a banner saying “Kendall and Carter must go. 26,000 stay-away fans can’t be wrong.”

Love the way some people think fan fickleness is a modern development.

Not even the slightest of slight chances.

We have to put our faith in Kinnear, Smith and TFG finding the next Iraola or Glasner.

The post above your post has a picture of the greatest manager in the history of the Universe working as the manager of Everton Football Club just a few years ago. The idea that Glasner or Iraola are beyond Everton isn’t true at all, imo.

I don't really mean in a stature sense, I mean timing-wise. Both of them have just done the thing of taking lower-midtable prem teams to the next level - they won't be looking at exactly the same brief for their next job.

If I'm wrong I'll tapdance naked on my roof though don't get me wrong.

Even if it's totally abject tomorrow, it's still probably better to leave him in place until the summer (assuming the situation doesn't deteriorate to an extreme degree, which I'd say is quite unlikely).

Now that Rodgers has been floated, I'd just roll the dice on Carsley.
