I'm saying No - not because I'm defending Moyes, but because we aren't in a perilous enough position that we should be sacking anyone without a long-term candidate identified and ready to come in.

If either of those things change, i.e.
- our position becomes perilous, or
- our long-term, thoroughly identified, candidiate is ready, available and waiting in the wings
then I'm a Yes.

No just make sure our recruitment team have a new forward line inked in for Jan 1st especially with pace. Doesn't matter what manager we had with this powder puff forward line we have it would be the same outcomes. Moyes has done nothing to deserve the boot imo.

Not going to happen. There's nobody available who would be a proven upgrade so at best its a case of taking a gamble on the unknown. He's here till the end of the season at least when the owners can evaluate the job he's done and if they think it necessary, can find a suitable upgrade who will then have the benefit of not being dropped in the deep end mid-season.

Iraola wasn’t a “proven upgrade” on O’Neil. Hurzeler wasn’t a proven upgrade on De Zerbi. They were both “gambles” (they weren’t, they were thoroughly scouted and analysed).

This fanbase, and entire football club really, is outdated in its way of thinking. We’re primed to kick off if our next manager doesn’t have a track record of winning trophies with some super club that’s totally irrelevant to us like Inter Milan. We are still a dinosaur institution that’s being left behind by the modern game.

It's interesting to realize some people on this forum are incapable of having discourse when you just introduce questions about a,n reoccurring issue that doesn't seem to resolving itself. I've even said if he's able to pull off Saturday or even change his tactics I would be more supportive of him. I'm just growing weary of watching the same failed approach every week with no effort to alter the predicament.

People scoffing at the idea, probably lead the idea if we lose vs Fulham, Man Utd and Newcastle. 1 win in 8, ask again when if it becomes 1 win in 11. All comes down to results.

I didn't want him back.

Wanted him gone after last season.

I'd like him gone this summer.

For me, he's Roy Hodgson to Oliver Glasner. This club needed something new from the summer, instead we looked back.

But, I don't think we should sack him during the season (*Unless, we fall into the bottom 3 - already over 25% into the season, we can't be doing that knowing even if we lose the next couple, we still likely arent in the bottom 3).

So Moyes in for this season for now, and I'm confident we'll get the results to secure magnificent midtable.

If he loses on Saturday, we're in big trouble. The reality is he's getting nothing at Old Trafford this month. What can he then get against Newcastle and Bournemouth? Then it's the Dyche derby. The international break is the best time to make a change prior to May. If the Friedkins have a replacement ready - somebody they can genuinely get behind for the long haul, then no need to delay. But these competent professionals fill me with little confidence that they even have a plan, let alone an anointed successor.

Managers sometimes run out of steam. It happened Dyche last year. If Moyes is fighting a relegation battle with a man deemed not good enough 12 months ago, then fairness dictates we move on. Especially having spent €120m and sat most of it on the bench. I'd not want to wait too long, though, if this happens. Fulham is the key game. Win this and this speculation stops. Sure, Moyes will be moved on in the summer anyway, but I think a win puts to bed any residual fears of relegation this season under him.

I think the way Moyes is picking the same team basically and doing little to change tactics when things are not working it seems like he wouldn’t be that bothered if he got his comics and P45 any time soon.

And when we get THE most proven upgrade in the game, Carlo Ancelotti, we're still told he wasn't suited to us.

The Friedkins will be judged by their eye for a manager. They better have a plan, because lose Saturday and they'll need it within the month. Time for the cultural purge.

Ancelotti himself told us he couldn’t work with our crap players. If that wasn’t a bellwether for our fans to start looking at the bigger picture rather than “hurr durr trofeeee cabinet” then I don’t know what is.

What a manager has won with Real Madrid has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on their suitability to be Everton manager. Zidane would be an awful Everton manager who would be sacked within a year, whereas some 38 year old from the Austrian Bundesliga who nobody’s heard of could be exactly what we need. This is what these “competent professionals” are paid to do by the way, conduct thorough research and find these managers.

This thread / poll is an outrage.
Moyes hands are tied.
We spent as much rebuilding our squad as they spent on one striker.
We’re shopping in Lidl’s while the top 6 13 are shopping in Harrods.
We haven’t got the luxury of a team sprinkled with individuals worth over £70m £100m each.
Without his keen eye for bargains we wouldn’t have two 19 year olds that will might, in seasons to come, make a huge difference to us
No one could do any better ™️

Not yet its up to him to get the results.
If he carries on same team same tactics and same results by Xmas.
The owners will pull the trigger doesn't matter what we think they will protect their investment.
He did well last year and earned the right to try and build something and the time to do it.
The problem is he is making it easy to say he isnt the man going forwards as its worryingly like the situation at West Ham were the outside world says why do the fans want him gone he has been doing a decent job ?
Well we are getting to the same stage but quicker.
The results are crap.
We at best play well in games
in patches then look clueless for the rest of the game while he sits and doesn't do anything about it, he man management of the players is questionable, why did he throw Barry under the bus, the kid is struggling , low in confidence and had just missed a sitter and knew it, how does calling him out on TV help him out confidence wise, he will be a nervous wreck next time he gets a start.
I havnt met a single person that follows us that can ubmnderstand the McNeil sub last game the use of KDH so the pressure build up.
He and the team look stuck in a rut , this early in a season is a bit of a worry.
That's not the fans fault they just want results and to be entertained we are getting neither.
I think he should get a chance to turn it around behond this Saturday, but its up to him now how he's future goes , no wins , same team the pressure will build.

That mediocre fulham side are probably better than us. But no he shouldnt be sacked but i would like to see him start being proactive
