New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Seems others prefer the obstructed view, the below standard food and warm beer

apart from the history and the noise of the wooden seats that made a noise as people stood up (not that many times in recent years 😜). I prefer my safe standing place in lower stand now!

Years from now when they look back and say it was the catalyst for change, sone of these issues people have will be long forgotten.

We all knew there would be issues and I know some folk who gave up tickets as little further out for them etc. I do feel sorry for those people. The transportation is purely on the council. There are teething problems, but christ just seeing the new place, surely people just think WOW? People moaned about GP, I am sure people will just moan at anything at time.

My humble opinion, its harder for me to get to new ground that GP, did I want to leave hell no. But look what we have now!

Disagree, there will be a lot of people who are either not bothered at all or a tiny bit miffed by it.

I very much doubt that a lot of people will be 'angry'. I mean there are some thing to get angry about, but some lines from a previous game played on a football pitch is 100% not one of them. Maybe there will be a few dotted around getting red in the face at some lines on the pitch, that are not football lines. If you get angry at that then you need to get some perspective in your life.

Mr Hyperbole strikes again, I am actually disappointed in myself for even responding to the obvious bait to reel people like me in.
And so you should be 🤣🤣

How does that quote go again?

You can please some of the people some of the time, but a lot of Evertonians are miserable gits so you'll never be able to please them.

Or something like that anyway...

If you mean 'the council' is Liverpool City Council then you are wrong.

Transport is run by Kopite Rotheram of Liverpool City Region Combined Authority.

Nothing to do with history; it's a matter of underlining who we are and where we play.

Bending over backwards just to make a case for the corporate control of this stadium is just mad if you're a supporter.
But Dave it is a corporate global game. The PL is just that. What we knew has long gone. I hate it but that is the fact and why americans. Now control most of tbe PL.

There has to be an accommodation between supporters - who are both consumers and producers of the spectacle - and the corporate world, which exploits that support in parasitic fashion.

Kill the host (or at least alienate them) and their plans to extract profits will be undermined.

Even in their own terms the owners and the finance houses who'll insist on sweating this stadium and its environs surely realise that.

They need to relent and Evertonise that stadium.

The very same struggle occurred when City left Maine Road for the City of Manchester Stadium and Arsenal left Highbury for Ashburton Grove. Their fans demanded and got change from the club to start making their match day feel like they were playing at home.

To believe our fans after a season wont be demanding this stadium more reflects us than be a hub for business is off the charts crazy.

That struggle will surely emerge in the months and years ahead.

It’s a lot harder for me to get there and even harder to get home. It will get better.
I wanted to leave GP and I’m still in awe every time I see HDS. There’s loads of teething problems, which will eventually be solved.
We’ve played 6 games, patience is required

Totally agree............these things take time, test events only really help with certificates. Like you said its 6 games in. I am convinced TFG will make it work.
