It was his tactics and man management after that miss that is pissing a lot of us off. Barry converts that sitter, we win comfortably. But we could all see the implosion after he missed, even Moyes, but he made mistake after mistake -- bringing on Beto and McNeil was simply the start of a long list
Were you not frustrated when Barry missed? I was. The McNeil sub I get because it was earlier than Moyes had likely planned to make a change and away from home, with Sunderland on the offensive, I get why he didn’t bring Dibling on.

As for Beto, what other option does he have? I’m not saying Beto is a good option, but you have an inexperienced kid upfront, on a yellow, who’d had a good first half, aside from the miss, who is much less physical than Beto and we were struggling to get out of our own half.

Gave Keane mom, first half Ndiaye, Grealish good, Tim played well when he came on and now I'm struggling. Barry done okay, Mykolenko okay, Pickford made one good save his kicking was diabolical. KDH, awful, Gana poor, Beto anonymous, Tarkowski very poor a shadow of his former self, Obrien okayish. McNeil shall we say rusty..Garner average another thing did our players have slippers on tonight, falling over all over the place. Manager 0/10 tonight. Too late with the subs and the wrong ones, he made us worse.

Are we absolutely sure we won’t get dragged into a relegation battle….

So so many weaknesses in this team. Losing Ndiaye to the AFCON removes a massive portion of our attacking threat.
Might lose him sooner if that's his knee injured
I'm nor sire we don't get dragged in
Leeds and Sunderland doing bits
All 3 promoted teams well above last couple of years promoted teams

Largely agree. I'm not advocating sacking Moyes or anything, but he is doing a lot of the same wrong things Dyche did. Picks the same team and same tactics every match, can't change anything in the game aside for like for like subs which he usualy waits too long on. He relies on individual brilliance to score goals and there is no real patterns of play except get it to Grealish and Ndiaye and hope for the best.

He needs to take a step back and look at what he's been doing, and why that hasn't been working.

My worry is that getting a point at Sunderland who are doing well right now, will reinforce what he's been doing.

I didn’t want him back, I don’t like his attitude towards Everton. He talks about us as if we are a Hull City, fighting against the odds and calls his last time here a success and to me I find it jarring how revered he is here because his first spell and with the former chairman, created a culture that has put the club back years.

This was no quick fix but I am not seeing a culture change here under these new owners. The recruitment is still highly questionable, the sentiment is still stinking the place out, there is still a care free attitude to getting knocked out of cups and a lot of the football stinks.

It goes beyond the manager, it’s a collective situation yet i don’t want him sacked just to score points with strangers, it’s all in our interests him and the club do well but little changes mate.

Yes, I did but you still didn’t answer my question. Blame the the manager all you want. A lad skies it from 2.5 yards out to make it 2-zip in a first 30 mins we totally, totally dominated. Managers fault probably. His selection and system was so bad we should have been 3-up after 25 mins.
We’ve stank for a number of weeks now. Finding excuses in young players starved of game time missing the odd opportunity isn’t going to mask that this is going down the dyche road fast.

Buck stops with Moyes

Yes he gave the ball away 4 times one first half alone doesn’t remotely run past the forwards like he used too for Chelsea / Leicester I never know he’s on the pitch , why what did you see?
He is not spectacular, he is not Grealish, but he does a good job in midfield, the job few others can do.
