Came into a game with 10 mins to go where every one of our players (except Keano) was trying to outdo the others in the slapstick stakes and proceeded to slot into the madness perfectly.

Bit difficult to judge the bloke in those circumstances. He definitely cocked up that counter attack but, apart from Grealish, I'd have expected that from any of our players.

He didn't necessarily do anything wrong. Unlucky not to score, again drew fouls, did his defensive work until the end. Can you blame him for looking at those players and knowing he has to somehow trust they'll do something of worth when he gives them the ball? Must be absolutely draining for him.

He’s scored so few goals in his career, I don’t think he’s in a position to look at anyone else and think they’re not going to deliver an end product. And his defensive work was actually horrendous from minute 30-45 - Myko was desperately trying to mark two men whilst Grealish jogged around in no man’s land, killing our defensive shape. It was clear he’d been given a rocket on that front at half time. Personally, I would absolutely have subbed him today. Every player should know that they will be subbed if they don’t deliver the goods, but there are some players in our team that know they can have a nightmare and will still get 80 minutes minimum.

Watching the replay again, think the 3 Sunderland players who got back had more pace than him. Still should've put Beto through.

Which is exactly the criticism and our reaction have to players hence why I said it was tongue in cheek! I also said he hasn’t been given a proper run! Read the post properly

But he didn’t create it, he did nothing with it! Like saying Barry nearly scored, but he didn’t he blasted it over the bar!!

I'd absolutely say he's worth a few starts in that number 10 position above KDH but I'd also not be surprised if he struggled. Some people think he's capable of transforming this team but I just don't see it.
