We have big selection problems for tomorrow but of the right sort.
Only Arsenal have conceded fewer goals than us, at Chelsea we played a flexible five at the back. Three central defenders with two sort of wing backs. This resulted in one or more of the centre backs free to roam forward with the ball. While Hume at right wing backs moved inside to a central midfield position, not down the wing, which meant we had numbers in the middle allowing midfielders to have more freedom to roam.
The problem we have is that we were missing arguably our best defender due to concussion protocols, so where do we fit him in, especially if we are going back to four at the back.
We have a lot of new players who we didnāt know a lot about and fans of other clubs still donāt know about. Of these new players the one to look out for, apart from the obvious Xhaka, is Sadiki, this young lad is fast and never stops, he is all over the pitch closing down winning the ball, winning over 90 of his challenges so far this season and being able to pass the ball to another team mate. The last of those has been a rare skill in recent years!
In Roefs we have signed a keeper who in his short time looks to be the best we have had, possibly since Jimmy Montgomery, early days and he might not live up to his great start.
Mukiele, who we signed from PSG has been outstanding across the back line as well as going forward. His goal against Wolves was an example of how flexible the formation is, playing a one two in the opposition box while playing left back, with his fellow right back, in open play.
Reinildo Mandava, the first Mozambique international to play in the Premier League , has been outstanding across at right back, apart from his stupid kick out after being fouled by a Villa player.
There others I could mention, but the really exciting thing is that a team with so many new players from different leagues has settled so quickly and is looking better with each game.
So I think we might just have a chance to finish 17th .
