New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Take me back to GP.Sounds easier to enter Fort Knox than HDS.
To be honest, it's very easy to get into, rather than the hyperbole you suggest.

I walked into the gate, didn't show my ticket (only done it once or twice from memory), and eased through the detectors into the plaza.

All of thirty seconds or so. We then went straight to our turnstile on the corner of the south and west stands, and again glided through.

Was in the north stand and dont kno if anyone else seen it aswell but not 100% but seen a lad taken out for swearing not sure what did happen after tho. Was towards end of the first half

Yesterday, we used Sandhills as our most post-match transport, heading southbound, and I was pleasantly surprised by how organised it was.

The queuing system worked well, we got onto the platform relatively quickly and smoothly (perhaps 10–15 minutes) without any form of congestion.

We got a train heading only to central, and there was ample space to sit and nobody forced to stand. The train to Hunts Cross that followed was busier.

I think I'll probably walk to Moorefield on most occasions, but yesterday with a tired son it was the best option, and it was a positive experience.

Is it as quick as it was getting home from Goodison? No, but it wasn't much more in terms of time and it felt as smooth, or smoother.

It's very simple.......
I seriously doubt anyone in " charge" of this gives a flying fig. Its dreadful. It'll get worse nearer Xmas.
Pushing people into an already busy town is plain daft.
Trains are still running on Sunday services ,nothing extra offered. Platforms are rammed and trains full when they arrive.
The shuttle busses are overcrowded and the queues daunting.
Id agree GH St needs bus laning for match days and perhaps the shuttle should terminate at Leeds St and return?
The transport people who have tried to sort 50,000 football supporters have forgotten the city gets a million ( just a guess!)other visitors every weekend.

Seen the stand off with a few guys and few stewards before a couple of the lads were ushered off back down under the stairs....had no idea what happened though. Did you hear it was an argument over swearing or you just jumping to conclusions?

Heard the swearing then next minute they came over and not 100% on what did happen. Just though others here might have more info, just thought was strange

first game that the hospitality boxes havent had curtains drawn during the match

not only does it mean empty seats so the prawnies can stay inside, but it is so distracting seeing all those screens

Can we jib off that DJ in the plaza?

Pumped 0-3 and walking out to that was grim.
totally agree .

Also and I know it’s nothing to do with the club but I what I wouldn’t give for the boozers by the ground to swerve the guitar wielding singers .

I can’t imagine how it’ll feel to get battered by the RS , walk out to a plaza DJ blasting out music then heading for a debrief and a pint to listen to bland oasis covers and there she goes on repeat .

Thank god for the bluehouse

Something has got to be done about the atmosphere. Some fans need to just stay away. People spend forever and a day desperately scrabbling for tickets just to stand in utter silence all game. Its not just yesterday and it's nothing to do with the new ground. It was like this for years at Goodison. Its painful. Something has got to be done now so we can have somthing in place for next season. Organise the singing section, anything. Because its just becoming week after week after week of hearing away fans take the piss while a handful of us get angry looks for trying to get something going.

Im not in that stand but I think generally the stewarding has been Awful , seemed a bit better this weekend .

I appreciate various moans but for the ground is absolutely fantastic . Easy to get in , easy to get a pint or something to eat , seat and views are close to perfect .

Love the place

I was on the first 929 bus back into town, the queueing wasn't as well organised as previous games, fans were queueing at buses 2 and 3 before first bus was full. Previous games everyone queues for the first bus, when it's gone the next bus pulls forward to start filling etc. There is a bus lane on Great Howard St but it gets full of fans walking back into town, could be dangerous when it's dark.

My experience of getting away from the stadium has been OK, I always leg it to the buses to ensure that I get on one of the first ones, not an option for everyone, I know.
