Relegation Thread 25-26

I’ve just looked at our fixtures up to the new year. I’d advise absolutely everyone not to do that btw.
As an antidote, have a look at Jan/Feb. We are getting a reality check right now and its bitter medicine- we are not where we want to be, but by the end of February I believe we will be comfortably mid-table

Irs possible we are in the mix if this poor run continues. Not having a top quality striker is killing us / Moyes being so stubborn in his team selection.

Of course we're in the mix — we're the only team in the division that basically plays with 10 players each game. If you cannot score you will always find yourself near the bottom of the table. Surely the club isn't stupid enough to think we can go the whole season with this current squad... right?
Stupid enough to start the season without a specialist RB. It's a mess and yesterday highlighted the problems.

Unfortunately I have...and i am concerned...we just need a results against a Sunderland in form team, simple...anything else and we are in the fight.
We will be whatever the result at Sunderland. We've rode our luck in so many games already and yesterday that luck ran out.

I suppose it was an oversight not to have one of these on the go.

One win in 7 in the league isn’t great. We are 14th in the league without much momentum, the feel good factor has gone, we can’t defend a corner, our home record has just gone in the biggest defeat since Moyes returned, and we still no functional striker. Where are our goals going to come from??

Do I seriously think we will be relegated? Not really.
There are three teams struggling at the bottom, but one of those has just hired Sean Dyche so they will be safe by the end of the season.

Probably best to have a thread looking at the relegation scrap and hoping we can pull things around enough not to be in it, just to be in the safe side.

Conceded our first set piece goals of the season last night (ignoring penalties) and we're as close to 4th as we are to 18th points wise.

I'm still confident we'll end the season in a nice, boring, mid-table obscurity place.
