New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Traffic today was really bad, much worse than previous games

Also, which bright spark put barriers in the north west corner meaning there was a bottleneck of fans when leaving. The reason apparently is to allow the coaches out, but they will be going way after the fans.
Sounds sensible to let the fans get clear of the area before making way for coaches to drive through, so that`s probably why we do it the other way around.

Experience of shuttle bus today.
1330ish today got on bus at Empire area. 10 mins later it left. 15 mins later we were trying to turn onto Great Howard St from Leeds Street. Soon after it got up some speed. Drop off around 2pm.
After the match there was only one bus going to empire, 3 to L1.The queues were very very long.
We decided to walk. Got to Leeds St and no bus had gone past us yet. Saw the return buses all crawling along GH St.
Traffic both ways on GH st was horrendous. The junction at Leeds St was gridlocked.
Merseyside travel not at fault, staff are great and putting in a huge effort.

Has anybody taken the Kirkby shuttle bus?

If so, does it stop near field lane anywhere?

I see it goes via Croxteth so assume it just goes up the lancs but if it goes by field lane I means I can get it home.
Goes along the Drive and up Muirhead apparently. Not sure about the Crocky bit. Took 50 mins to get to County Road. Took another 15 to get to first bus stop on the Drive after Walton Lane. Can’t believe they send it east into Boundary Street.

The Club & Council need to try & improve the transport to and from the stadium. We were going to try the shuttle bus back into the City but same story as above- massive queues and only one bus. Quicker to walk if fit enough, but not good enough if lashing rain or you’re old/not mobile/have young kids with you.

The stadium itself is fantastic but I think the lack of good transport to and from, traffic jams etc is also leading to people leaving early (not just today’s on-field performance).

If you're trying to park near the ground without appointed parking. That's on you.
