Match Thread Everton 0-3 Spurs . Sun Oct 26th. 4.30

You only need to compare it to years gone by as the strength is nowhere near what it was.

So many teams are just boring, dull functional, and well drilled who really on set piece goals and have no creativity or skill.

The money spent on the premier league is greater than it has ever been but the overall quality is down from years ago you only need to look at last year's champions.

What years mate?

And it’s got absolutely nothing to do with who wins the league - I’m on about the strength of the league. The teams in 6th/8th/12th, whatever. The quality runs FAR deeper than it used to.

I think we have to stop playing Dewsbury Hall at no. 10. With him and Grealish we are just too laboured, we need to play either Alcaraz or Rohl as the 10 and let the one who doesn't play 10 fight it out with Dewsbury Hall, Garner and Gueye for the midfield slots. I think we should persevere with Barry up top, he's pulled no trees up yet, but, he does look a little better each game. In an ideal world I'd play neither of them, but we're kind of stuck until January.

Yet, we have people calling for "stability" like the status quo, riddled by Kenwrightism, is a safe staging post.

We're the most inert club in the Premier League. In every way. It's a wonder we ever moved stadium.
Agreed, some fans are happy with us just staying in the PL, we should be demanding more, I'm sick to death of the stagnation, its just the same garbage season after season, bar one under Koeman and little spells here and there we've been served up the same rubbish season after season

Last season we found ways to win without having to have attacking full backs or a top striker because we played to the strength of the team with Alcaraz behind Beto playing on the counter attack. Now we’re playing slow shuffling football with a load of players who, Grealish and Ndiaye aside, can’t handle a football.
