2025/26 David Moyes

His management style is stale but slightly effective. It will get you enough points to keep you in the league and around mid-table. Just nothing new or fresh. Same with his signings. Big fellas up front. Unfortunately, ours aren’t very good which limits his game plan as he can’t adapt it.

The best Moyes is getting is the duration of his contract. I don't believe all of this is his fault but he's definitely playing his part in this already painful season. He's the same as he's always been. Painful and plodding. I have total faith that we'll be fine relegation wise under him but nothing beyond that.

Both Ireola and Glasner are out of contract at the end of the season.

TFG never really wanted Moyes in the first place, they were forced due to Dyche wanting the sack.

Unlike under Moshiri when no one would touch us, there’ll be managers queuing up for a PL team that will have regular financial backing every window. Moyes needs to wake up quickly or he’s going to be writing his own P45, this lot simply aren’t Kenwright or Sullivan and Brady. There’s no economic constraint here. They want a return on 100 million spent. They will not want to see Dibling Alcaraz Rohl Barry sat on the bench whilst we engineer another lower mid table scrap when we really don’t need to.

Moyes needs to shift things up a bit over the next few games - system not working for our forwards and he needs to get them involved more. Fullbacks don’t contribute. KDH not working at 10. Pressing non existent. We’ve got the talent to be doing better than we have been

The wheels have fallen off regardless of refs and Var. Not enjoying watching us play at all. Worst strikers in the league and a manager just doing the same things over and over. Had enough already.
Maybe he thinks we are lining up correctly based on what is happening in the pitch and in training? At the moment we just lack a bit of quality, nothing more or less.

When we come against teams stronger than we are, like City and Spurs, they can nullify our strengths and pick at our weaknesses. When we play the weaker sides it should be easier for us to take advantage of overloads due to coaches trying to mark out Jack and N’Diaye.

Sunderland will be a good game whatever the result as it will show us where we are.

We are doing decently considering Branthwaite has been out all season. I dread to think where we’d be had we listened to those who demanded Keane be kicked to the kerb.
