Match Thread Everton 0-3 Spurs . Sun Oct 26th. 4.30

I was just considering whether a change of formation might be needed, but the lack of full backs really, really restricts us.
I think getting a good frontman in is the number one priority. I don’t think they really need to be a goalscorer, but someone who can occupy opposition defenders and bring others into plays.

Jesus would be a good option if he’s truly available and has recovered from that injury.

Simple for me changes should be made at half time we were 2-0 down by then plus first subs made by spurs... really?? His first change like for like one hopeless striker for another hopeless striker. At least he moved garner out of the midfield that he had been so ineffective in, Alcaraz left until 85th minute i could go on at the dithering and timing of his changes. Why not push ndiaye up front in support of Barry/Beto and bring dibling on ? At least try something if it doesn't work out fine but at least try he doesn't appear to want to try anything. Also saying Paulinha is better than anyone in our midfield is knife to a gunfight kind of talk, we'd be as well not turning up against better teams with that attitude.
We were losing 0-2, why would you risk becoming open when you can keep it sure at the back and only concede a third in the second half without offering anything offensively.l - this is the mindset… set up not to lose rather than to win.

Being nailed to a cross is a hard one to come back from.

Fans streaming out the stadium on 80mins. £75 out of pocket, soaking wet and many a 40min walk back into town in driving rain. Sorry lads! Not good!

Going to take some time before we can attract who we want, same for strikers.

Could Moyes have done differently today ? I think we probably had our best team on the pitch. We had the ball wide a lot but nothing much to aim for and Spurs defended well.
If Beto was somewhat competent it would make things so much easier. He can finish, but his all-around play is just too woeful for this level. Barry looks useless as well.

I think Sunderland will be a better yardstick though. We really need to be beating them to get our season back on track.

Groundhog day once again, every game we bemoan the lack of attacking quality from.our fullbacks and our none existent striking options...

Expecting grealish or ndiaye to pull off a worldie every week just isn't a way to play
