Match Thread Everton 0-3 Spurs . Sun Oct 26th. 4.30

It is offside by the letter of the law but we all know goals like that get given every week unless you're Everton. Matches and VAR decisions like this consistently going against us are completely taking the enjoyment out of the game for me.
Yeah. The PL is a joke. After the PSR years that's more than clear.

Personally I think it's fully corrupt and it's not much different to calciopoli era Italy but I know most people think that things like that doesn't happen in blighty.

Noone thinks footy is more entertaining than 5 years ago. Not even the same game.

Doesn't bode well.
They were too busy fawning over our shiny new home and in the process forgot we need a shiny new team to play in it.
I never understood why they went back for Moyes. But his results proved me wrong and vindicated that decision. He kept us up with plenty to spare. Fair dues. Still, I was uneasy with them keeping him on. What else was there really for him to achieve? We were told "stability" - but what's that? Not changing the manager again? Did they really think he could hold the fort while they struggled to fill all the empty operational positions at the club? The transfer window was a disgrace. Moyes knew it. There was no plan.

Moyes is a competent manager who provided the "stability" we needed. But we should have been ready with the real plan in June had we had one. We didn't even have a transfer committee. There was no plan.

People will call for the manager's head. Heck, I wouldn't be remotely sorry to see him go. It would close a chapter that really needs to be closed. But all of that is completely moot as long as our custodians have no plan, no ambition, and no clue.

Moyes inability to actually try and change the set up is becoming really annoying. He has enough depth on that bench to be far more proactive with his subs but refuses to try anything. We need someone in charge that actually has a plan B and is prepared to implement that plan B early enough for it to have a chance to make a difference.
You can rearrange the deck chairs in the Titanic, but the problems are more fundamental.

Fact is, Spurs were simply much more effective. We are short in too many areas.

I wouldn’t say any points were thrown away, maybe West Ham. We didn’t score against Villa and Leeds to be able to throw anything away. Night game at Elland Road we deserved nothing, Villa we absolutely murdered but just couldn’t finish the chances.

Take a step back, look objectively, it’s not been a bad start so far. The negativity is pointless.
As I said, rancid start to the season and very little to hang your hat on moving forwards. Literally nobody expects to see anything better next week against Sunderland.
