Dominic Calvert-Lewin watch

Ah yes the classic alternative league table.
Just showing that Leeds are at the bottom of the table when it comes to convert big chances.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been Leeds' worst culprit, missing all five big chances, but their most glaring miss of the weekend came from Lukas Nmecha, who diverted a near-post header worth 0.69 xG well over the bar. Brenden Aaronson, Jack Harrison and Jayden Bogle also missed presentable opportunities in the 2-0 defeat against Burnley.

Coincidentally, we were at the bottom of this table in 23-24 when DCL started every week for us.

Can't imagine our current striker is far off the bottom 😆

Beto had a conversion rate of 17% last year to DCL's 6%.

I can't find the stats for this year yet but it would strongly suggest DCL is making an impact at Leeds.
Not sure how. DCL has 1 goal. Must be almost equally as bad as beto? Unless I've misunderstood. In other news I reckon we sign another striker in January..would transform us.

Our strikers must be banging the goals in now DCL have gone. Oh wait.

(Forget % stats by the way, as the last time I checked % stats don't count, goals do).

I can imagine how two big money strikers must be massively our performing DCL in league goals this season.

Our strikers have scored the same amount of league goals as the mighty DCL mate. Make of that what you will.

Our two "big money" strikers make less per week combined that massive wage packet Dominic.

Oh really? You mean two big money strikers have only matched his goal output combined?

I thought given how awful DCL apparently was, and given we now have a way better team, they'd have scored loads more goals.

As obviously the lack of goals from DCL was all about him, and nothing to do with the fact pretty much every striker we have had post Lukaku hasn't scored any goals.

Do you not think 30m is a lot of money by the way? Maybe you could remind us how much DCL cost?

But yea, I really thought they'd be banging them in like you thought DCL should have been. But they're not. Funny old world isn't it. At least he could control a ball which is more than they can do 😂

I thought Beto would have scored more goals too. I can agree with that. I don't think it's a "given we now have a way better team". We have added Grealish and KDH into the starting 11. Grealish is an improvement but I'm not particularly sold on KDH right now.

If DCL's lack of goals isn't down to him and was because of the team or other factors, is Beto's? Why or why not?

Who was 30 million mate? Beto cost 21.5 and we got him 0 cash up front, Barry was 26-27 depending on the exchange rate. It's pennies for a striker today. What have Solanke, Woltemade and Isak just gone for?

You keep avoiding the fact that Dominic is definitely making more money on his Leeds contract than the two of them put together are here. It's not a sleight against them that somebody has paid a transfer fee to release them from their contracts. Maybe you should ask yourself why nobody ever bothered to submit a worthwhile bid to free Dominic from his if he's as good as you clearly still think he is.

I just think our problems were clearly deeper than DCL mate. Youre right re Beto, we got him on a free first year didn't we?

I don't think Dom is that good mate, injuries have taken their toll, and I wouldn't have renewed his deal, certainly not at the level Leeds did. I just think for what we paid for him, he is one of the better strikers buys we made.
