2025/26 Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall

Id feel better about the state of the club if he was just a signing that doesn’t work out than a signing that actually requires a change in system that we’re not prepared for. Mistakes can happen, needing a whole new system is not having a plan.
I think should have alot of systems to play feel that most teams now play with a mid 3 and i think that is better as the wide players can push forward more. Should be adapting to different teams, is why i have said even try him and alcaraz together. Do think would help massively this team having attacking fb so could give more space to the wingers and kdh.

I’d prefer we played a different system but David Moyes is the manager and he’s got two plus decades playing how he plays. If the plan is to do something else you have to get a new manager.

I don’t think having multiple systems is a constructive thing. You need to be adaptable within matches and for matchups but playing a bunch of different ways more often ends up with a team that’s just not really good at anything.

And then lastly as I’ve said before this isn’t the type of signing where you have to figure it out. He’s 27, he’s been in the league, he cost real money. This is supposed to be put him on the field and watch him go.

Still feel is down to the team aswell look at how we attack is hardly any support. I think is a player in him is fair your view on him

That's not really surprising given our league is the most attractive/richest in the world and has the pick of managers from every country.
And the best one is just from Scotland.

I did go down a fun rabbit hole here though and the best English manager in the PL era might be Eddie Howe? One more trophy and his case becomes incredibly strong. Wild.

I’m going to make this point again because I feel like it keeps not getting through: the place he’s at in his career matters. The likely development of the player matters and in this case his development is likely over. When we’re bringing up guys like Salah and KdB who were much younger it just isn’t the same thing.

So much of this feels like people just accepting the very good part as fact and then thinking it has to be proven he’s not actually very good. But I really feel like he’s the one needing to prove he’s very good in the first place.
I don't agree with any of that, it isn't that it isn't 'getting through'

Let's wrap it up in a neat bundle:
*You don't think he is a good value signing
*Most fans as far as I can tell think he is a good value signing that improves our team

To act like a signing of a 27 year old is the same as a 23 year old or whatever is just purposefully obtuse

mclaren has a cup and a runner up (Lampard an FA cup win). Robson managed in the PL and is easily more successful as a club manager than almost all of his peers.
This rabbit hole needed making PL exclusive.

I knew someone would do this. Yeah sure Clough had one PL season it actually makes it worse that those are the names you have to go to.

I had to stop myself, 'cos I jumped straight to George Graham, but it turns out he's Scottish and I hadn't cottoned onto your English part. Glad I reread. John Gregory and David Moyes also both have a European trophy to note. Technically Moyes also has a Charity shield. But once again, Moyes is Scottish.
