He looked as lost on the side as as the team did on the pitch. They ignored again what he told them yesterday, so he switched players around to try to stop them doing stuff he told them not too. It's not the 1st time either - even this season. He's telling them to go forward and they keep passing sideways etc. though off course we all think its him telling players to do what they are doing passing sideways, Which is true a lot of the time/but not always as think they are auto stuck playing same wayGenuinely surprised he's still in the hot seat. He looks like he has no idea what his best 11 is or what the tactics should be. Looks like he has also lost the dressing room.
When both commentators on the clubs official channels are criticising the manager, its probably not a good
I admire you all for watching it when it's consistently dirge I just don't know how you do it
I couldn't hear him at the side of the pitch barking orders yesterday and had the look of a defeated man who run out of ideas. He looked as lost on the side as as the team did on the pitch. Mark, seriously are there enough "long suffering fans" for this to matter that much?I couldn't hear him at the side of the pitch barking orders yesterday and had the look of a defeated man who run out of ideas.
Someone with new personality and perspective is needed to change the current outlook or its just going to get worse to watch for us long suffering fans.
Great question. I wonder the same. How many people truly care? It's hard enough being emotionally attached to the men's team without having to have another team to get emotionally involved with. It's great that women are playing football more in the public eye but there seems to be a lack of scrutiny about the general standard as if people are scared to voice opinions in fear of being called a sexist or bigot. The reality from the women's matches I've watched over the last 5 years or so is the standard really needs to improve especially from the lesser teams and nations otherwise its hard to really get a vested interest in it. Mind you you can also say the same about the mens game as its in a similar paradox where the standards have dropped especially on the international frontMark, seriously are there enough "long suffering fans" for this to matter that much?
Your right but if the womens team is playing at goodison you might think they would attract more fans if they played a decent brand of football.Mark, seriously are there enough "long suffering fans" for this to matter that much?
I have my doubts Mark. I've said before I think womens football is a niche thing where its a cheap day out with the family and a relaxed atmosphere without the toxicity of the men's game. If I had a daughter I'd be taking her to the matches to try and inspire her which I think is the main reason why womens football is a good thing. Its just the overhype that spoils it but that's the same with most sports nowYour right but if the womens team is playing at goodison you might think they would attract more fans if they played a decent brand of football.
They are a million years away from getting the crowds people think The Girls will get. I will always stick to they moved to G/P when they should have stayed at WHP for me. Certain people for crazy reasons auto thought they may get the likes of what Arsenal etc get, but they have won things and are a way better team, like Chelsea etc. The move had worked out well in terms of they've actually done better than they expected crowd wise, but its a long term thing, not a they expect right here and now the way some think. Cup games are always very low crowd, even more v the lower league teamsYour right but if the womens team is playing at goodison you might think they would attract more fans if they played a decent brand of football.
They were never going to get massive attendances but I'll maintain they shouldve gave mens season ticket holders free entry back. Can't speak for anyone else but it's certainly stopped me from going when I used to attend WHP.They are a million years away from getting the crowds people think The Girls will get. What was the gate yesterday - only looked about 1,000 ? Seemed like the stewards outnumbered the fans in the Park End. Why do the club even bother selling tickets for games that will never sell more than 10% of capacity. Just let people turn up and pay. They are a million years away from getting the crowds people think The Girls will get.
